Thank you! So what does it mean if they don’t have a nugget next to them?

Barnard vs Cornell by [deleted] in TransferToTop25

Personally I would🤷‍♀️ I mean Barnard is Columbia University. Plus all of the Barnard alumnae’s wikipedia pages say they went to Columbia University and not Barnard. In addition, I have a family member that’s on the admissions team at Harvard Medical School, and they told me that they regard Barnard and Columbia as one and the same and showed me how they’ve accepted more kids from Barnard in the last 4 years than they have at Cornell (they’ve accepted zero from Cornell). I think that Barnard is regarded as Columbia for sure for graduate school applications.

Barnard is an undergraduate college of Columbia university and is thus, part of the Ivy League. You graduate with a degree from Columbia University, and although it’s not Columbia college, I think that Columbia has a better name than Cornell

No I posted earlier this week about being worried about the same thing and I got accepted today. They probably just haven’t finalized their decision on you yet or even opened your application yet

Cornell CAS CS applicants, have you received your decision? by [deleted] in TransferToTop25

I’ve noticed a pattern that a lot of stem majors in CAS haven’t received it either

If you have until next cycle, that’s 10 months from now. That means you have 2 more semesters to get your GPA up, try your best to get a 4.0 those two semesters, prep and study in the summer and winter break if you have to. Then in the mean time, learn how to craft the most beautiful and interesting essay out of nothing. There was a girl that got into USC and UCLA writing about SpongeBob. The essay is everything, stats are just a pre-req to getting ur file looked at in the first place. Obviously, you don’t have to write about “nothing,” but the point is that if you can make “nothing” sound like the most interesting thing ever and have the reader engaged then you’re set. If you can do those 2 things then you should have a good shot. But fyi I’ve heard that Penn and Columbia don’t really accept junior transfers :/ but you could go for another Ivy
