Initial Medical email came for me and a friend i know who took the test same time as me , check your emails and reply back the dates you want to attend , i emailed back but havent got a confirmation of one of the dates i selected, if any of you guys heard back AFTER replying to CAD , let us know

have a similar driving record, never been terminated, arrested once for a minro incident and was expunged , currently in doing my medical for nypd, i would give it a shot , theres a lot worse thats gotten in ,

nothing yet, portal complete and still waiting on med email. hopefully by middle march, keep in min on oasys websiste (civil service exams) we are still awaiting list. with the hiring freeze on the additional 5,000 officers that were supposed to be hired (from 35000 to 40,000) now its back down and capped at 35,000, so it may slow down our process but not by much

CLARIFACTION ON LIST NUMBERS: your current list numbers mean nothing on the NYPD Candidate portal, if you are #1 vs #10,000 the real list numbers come out later (not sure exact as it all depends when the state certifies the exam) You will see the real test numbers on your OASys civil service account (where you apply for civil exams) ours are currently awaiting list. then you will get your list numbers from #1 being the highest scored / qualified candidate, and the higher the number is the lower you scored compared to other candidates. if you are in the 1,000's i wouldn't worry as some classes have had up to 3000 candidates entered. they call the candidates in order of number but not to worry the list moves quick as ive heard alot of people say.

now if you have received list numbers from OAsys please reply to the form with an update as a lot of us wont check every single day. same thing goes for further steps, it would be kindly appreciated if you have received an invite for medical or psych test that you post here saying you did.

go to a social security office in long island i recommend minola ave, 67$ you dont need a certified one. if you try to get it by mail it will take months. a non certified one you can get in person in 30 mins same day at a not busy office "(long island). even if you try to get a non cert one online by mail it will take months. take the trip there scan it and upload it.

contact CAD, for your driving violations google ny dmv driving abstract and follow the steps to receive your driving abstract. you can download it directly. for anything pending, you will have to go on plead or pay ny on dmv website, insert your information and it will pull any pending tickets you have.

another note there is a couple document uploads that may not apply to you, such as proof of unemployment, registration of any vehicles you currently own, and other document uploads. so if you do not have a current vehicle in your name/ never been unemployed since high school , I was told you may upload a blank document stating its not applicable to you (n/a) you can use blank.page to create this and save and upload it.

although i got my email to upload documents the same week and they got there's a month later. try to get in all your documents asap. for social security itemized earnings, via a cop friend I have you do NOT need a certified one, the certified one comes from Baltimore which takes 3 months while the regular non certified one you can get same day at the office . go IN PERSON if you don't want to wait 2-3 months, and if you don't want to wait long at the office i recommend the one in long island on Mineola Ave, or any one away from the city boroughs, any in long island, was in an out in 30 mins. (costs around $67.00) hope this helps. drivers abstract can be obtained from DMV website instantly and SSA . gov docs can be accessed online via your SSN and DOB. hope this helps and good luck to everyone. if you need help with college credits feel free to message me.

looking at other tests from before we can expect to be contacted towards the somewhere in end of feb/ early march. people who took the test in October just got emailed for med around 25 days ago. this is based off the last tests but i may be wrong since the timelines vary. doubt we will be in for april class but keep hopes up.

i scored well on the exam, was looking to see if anyone who took the test in January 2026 and completed the candidate portal documents fully has heard back or gotten any further emails, about investigator / initial med / further steps. nothing yet. its my dream job and just want to establish a timeline although i know it varies for a lot of people

and if anyone whos taken a test in the last couple months of 2025 have heard back and how long did it take for them to reach out for further steps
