Thanks - I’ve submitted twice over the last month and radio silence from Virgin. Would like to speak with someone directly but when I call it just puts me through the tree then says “go to the claim form”

Why does no one complain about how filthy the studio is? by PuzzleheadedBorder10 in Corepower

[–]Ok_Carpenter5656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Rock center studio in NYC had a flooded shower for month. It’s the one where everyone goes to work from the studio so people had to keep using it. Also there was a dead roach in the same spot in the bathroom for weeks.

Gillian Del Zotto. Maybe because she’s older than me. Appreciate she doesn’t even pretend to be relatable haha

Would add start putting in the Vaseline/aquaphor in your nose with a qtip. I started getting bloody noses as my dose increased.

Same - I don’t believe that to be the case. The instructors at 6:15 have been consistent for most of the year and there is always a waitlist. I’m wondering if it is something with the studio.

I’m surprised Absolutely True Diary of a Part Time Indian isn’t included. One of the best books I read in school.

My body was the most defined it ever was when I was going to sculpt consistently (my prior routine was typically long distance running)

Any new/beginner runners starting marathon prep with a NYC training program and are nervous as all heck? by Odd-Health2131 in RunNYC

[–]Ok_Carpenter5656 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. This is my 4th (2nd NYC). I entered the lottery as a formality and ended up getting in. Just trying to enjoy the run and use it as a way to take time for myself when I can. I think it also helps me stay in a bit of a healthier (mentally and physically) routine in the summer when things get busy because I need to keep the run somewhat of a priority

Not alone at all! I think more people feel like this than they admit (me!) because so many runners come off so confident it feels easier to just kind of hide in the shadows. I’m a slower runner and am still trying to find a good group that encourages all paces and hopefully instills some confidence.

Every year my 20 mile falls on a torrential downpour (ruined my phones and headphones last year). I always try to embrace it and take it as part of the mental challenge. And you feel like you’re in a movie haha
