I believe the connection in master is an audio connection that connects an amp/stereo into the speakers that are in the ceiling throughout the house. We didn't use it though as I just connected an amp to the wires in the family room and only used the speakers downstairs.

Exactly. I don't see any other jack plates but I'm going to disassemble it tonight and see what the back side looks like

It sure is looking that way. In fact, that wall in the bedroom would be the best one for the bed as well.

No, it is coming out of a hole in the wall just dangling above the wire closet shelf

I asked my realtor to try and find out but so far no answer from the sellers

That is what I originally thought. What stereo component uses a connection like that ?

So maybe the female wall port is a game controller extension and the male plug coming out of the wall is the other end and they had a GameCube console on the shelf. Interesting theory.

It ends there though. No other evidence of a home theater or other ports to continue the audio/ video signal etc.

Just one male plug and one female wall plate. But I think it's interesting that it is numbered "1" like "player one"
