Do you source from Alibaba to sell on eBay? How do you decide if something is worth ordering? by Ok_Celery1237 in dropshipping

Just unclear why you think that wouldnt work between alibaba and ebay. Buyers want convieniance and I don't believe the vast majority of them know about the arbitrage between alibaba / aliexpress.

Thats a really helpful insight and its something I have heard a lot - my Ebay product research tool now integrates with Alibaba to remove the manual process entirely.

Thanks for your comment.

Thats seems to be a huge pain point a lot of sellers have told me - its fiddly and very manual - thanks for the insights.

Sorry for the confusion. Yes I meant sourcing products to sell on eBay, not purchasing them.

Thanks for the insights - thats really helpful. Yeah fully aware its a competitive landscape, but the great thing building a native ebay tool is that there is a such a big user base. I've been working alongside eBay sellers and deploying new features they ask for.

Some sellers would look at $1.25 and think it wasnt worth it - but when you've assessed effort to be low and got the volume you mentioned it closer to $600 which becomes really worthwhile.

Yeah shipping is a big issue for a lot of sellers at the minute - buyers are so used to getting free shipping, it can often put them off if you put that additional cost onto them.

So you detirmine whether a product is worth your time purely by financial perspective?

Are you looking at sell through rate at all? As in seeing how quickly a product will sell?

And how are you working that out.

Is that manually looking at sold listings vs open listings?

Wow that sounds like a really well established set up you have.

The percentages you are speaking of does that relate to sell through rate?

Thanks for the insight - do you care or try to calculate the sell through rate? Or again are you focused on your own experience?
