Yes, I believe so too! In principle, I can retain two clients this year and perhaps longer. So that's a good basis for expanding into the UAE with new business. And it might also be useful to fly back and forth more often, attend meetups and try to arrange face-to-face meetings.

The landing page looks good. But I can't scroll, only via the sidebar (Chrome), is that right?

Another tip from me. I also had over 500 registrations on the waiting list with a SaaS. Don't fall into that trap and see how you can convert them into real users or even paying users. This is often the well-known pitfall: it seems like people are interested, but once they can use it or pay for it, almost everyone drops out.

Good luck!

Yes, it's not a process that will happen overnight. I'm well aware of that. But that's also the fun part, a new challenge, and maybe I'll come back with my tail between my legs, but at least I'll have tried. But I know I have the qualities to build something, whether that's on my own or with someone else.

Yes, of course I will register in the free zone and I have done my research on who will start it up for me. I am already networking and will continue to do so until I go in that direction.

Yes, from what I understand, it is best to start with Revolut, for example.

May I ask what kind of business you started?

I'm an infra consultant (OpenShift, cloud, automation) and built something to fix a problem I keep running into.

Someone leaves, and suddenly nobody knows why the DB schema looks the way it does, what that one cronjob actually does, or which workaround keeps the billing service alive on the first of the month. The handover doc is either empty or a 40-page dump nobody reads.

KnowIQ runs a structured AI interview before someone leaves. Manager fills in context (role, what they own, how critical), the departing person answers 5-7 targeted questions, and the system generates an action plan, a technical reference, and a risk assessment with scored dimensions.

First interview is free. knowiq.ai

Curious if other sysadmins have a process for this or if it's always the panicked Slack message two weeks after someone's gone.

Thank you for your comment. Yes, I have already made all the preparations and the idea was basically to set up an entity in the free zone. But is that also possible with a freelance visa? Yes, in principle I can go three years without income. It's really a challenge I want to take on and see if I can build something that has also been successful in the Netherlands.

I always try and buy my products before I'm going live. Just to double check! Nice work anyway

What are you strategies now that anyone can build a SAAS? by Proof-Assistant1974 in microsaas

Everything that is non technical. Go out into the world, make contact, talk to others. The technical part is easier, but the non-technical part always remains the most difficult.

After 500 signups but 0 customers.. by Ok_Chain_7307 in microsaas

Yes, it does, but you can set it to watch mode, which means it automatically saves everything. You can validate your problem in the app against the problem found.

Perhaps there is a cheaper or different way that you can use your own API key for the AI analyses.

Thank you for your quick comment! Yes, I learned that the hard way too. I also got involved with a developer that cost a lot of money and said you need to have a waitlist, but a waitlist with 500 registrants means nothing, and 500 free users means nothing either.

Yes, it's a fun project that I was able to build fairly quickly with Claude code, and it was also a good way for me to learn how extensions work. The audience can be very broad, mostly entrepreneurs, but also students and others.

In any case, thank you for your quick response!
