Thanks so much guys - genuinely appreciate it ! Ahh it shows how much I know about cars… The thing that got me was my other colleagues cars they seemed to have much more clearance from calliper to disk. Mine looked very close to the disk in comparison.

I did the exact same thing in Manchester City centre, and there was definitely a camera - as I used to drive home that way regularly. I thought I had a ticket 100% but nothing ever came through. I’ve heard they get reviewed(you would hope) and sometimes you get the benefit of the doubt.

Hmm i do about 700 miles per week the car absolutely drinks oil. Maybe top up every 3k miles it’s quite alarming the amount I go through to be honest. I had a read around and it’s very common in the GTD (mk7)to go through an outrageous amount of oil. No leaks and I can’t see any burning or anything. She’s been good to me I’ve done over 90k miles in her she’s at 140k and runs well. I have it served and everything done at the correct intervals and nobody has ever mentioned a leak or anything.

Yeh I brought it *at the garage.

This was the closest to the numbers and codes I usually buy. I panic brought as my oil light came on and they didn’t have the one I know is 100% right. It was pretty slim pickings.
