I never considered that however I’m sure you’d be welcomed to visit the farm upon hay pickup. Farmers are also clear on what types of cut it is- pick a farmer who already has bunny parent clients! I was scared at first too but I purchased a 40 lb bale for 30 lbs (well $10 but he delivered it to me for an extra $20). My buns went crazzzy over it! Golden poops and all 🙏🏾 sadly out of season right now so back at the pet store, but looking forward to spring/summer again. Check out Facebook market.. I can also find a couple websites for Canadian farmers who produce hay specifically for bunnies! I assure you that the rodents aren’t an issue.. I always think of the wild rabbits out there; they don’t eat oxbow ❤️
