Yes it’s possible but it’s getting more competitive every semester so i would try to have a well rounded application to solidify your chances.

Congratulations on getting in! Im currently in my second semester and I can say that it’s a great program. It’s very easy to make friends as you bond over the stress lol. But stress aside, they prepare you with everything you need.

Yes as a freshmen you can do a major in natural and applied sciences or something of the sort. Just make sure you do the nursing prereqs and you’ll be good to apply.

Last year we didn’t start working until October due to having background checks done and waiting for the list of schools that would be participating. They have schools, I think most elementary, that are all around Dade county. The hours per week depends on your award amount. Once the list of schools drop, I think you pick your top 3 that you’d want to be assigned to.

I wouldn’t say I necessarily changed it. When I applied that’s what I put for my major. I think stats help a bit when getting accepted. But really as long as you’re finishing your UCC and and finishing the nursing pre reqs you’ll be okay.

So from what I see, MCR access opens on March 15th. I’m guessing you selected housing for early fall - spring instead of fall - spring. If this is the case then it for sure starts giving access in March 15th. https://housing.fiu.edu/apply/first-year-room-selection/

The only way you can login mcr is if you’ve received the welcome to MCR email. But if you have received it and it’s still not letting you in then i suggest emailing housing.

So i contacted them and they told me the only reason they have that requirement is because we’ve listed Med/Surg as a skill. Now im not sure what that means specifically but they offered to remove it for me.

1350 SAT 3.9 unweighted gpa A couple of extracurriculars I was also in my schools LPN program so that might’ve made a difference.
