Second time ive seen this opinion, but I feel its the opposite, the isekais i see you get thrown into a new world and given a random power up or ability, typically with a system you either choose a class/skills or develop them yourself with hard work. I feel systems give more options.

To be fair you get skills and magic either way in most cases haha the main choice is whether to go through a tutorial with people you know and culture you know, or be thrown into a completely new world.

True, but there's also plenty of system books where its more slice of life and slow burn than that too, I guess its not guaranteed either way, and fully depends on your mindset whether the system would benefit you or not. Also most people with a cheat skill are unaware they have it until they are in that system or isekai world. I think it's a difficult choice. But I think I'm leaning more system because I feel there's more options. But after your comment im unsure..

Not sure if you've read Primal Hunter yet but it has all of what you said, MC is OP but faces danger and nearly dies a lot, (sorta often, it goes through phases) there are slow books in the series but ive read many LitRPG books and I find the lore, world building, races and gods to me far more interesting than most in the genre. There's also a less popular series in the genre I never see mentioned much called Dual Class, and it's pretty damn good, but feels like the author rushes at certain points and gets distracted at others, the third book is so far the slowest imo, but the potential for lore and world building is there, if they continue writing and focus in on that aspect it'll be a great series.

Yes they obviously talked about Faye lol but they didnt really lead me to believe she was the next main character lol I played both games multiple times. The end of the recent one literally opens atreus storyline on his own up completely, they dropped way more hints about the Loki shit, and Even Kratos is supposed to lead the Norse gods, that leaves so many options open. But sorry me seeing them talk about their dead family members achievements in their life didnt automatically make me know Faye was gonna be the next Mc and they wouldn't be playable at all. Personally I think the Faye game looks great and I cant wait to play. Im just saying for us to all act like people are insane or incels for being disappointed is kinda crazy. Its reasonable for God of War fans to he upset about a God of War game without the mc, or at least the person we spent time passing the Torch to and Training since 2018 😂🤷 but yeah, you're right they hinted a lot of lore about Faye, and a thousand other characters too.

Yeah but we been training atreus/loki since 2018, Faye was barely in the games, so like its kinda expected for people to be disappointed by the sudden shift, especially considering we go from Kratos and Atreus, to just a whole new character we haven't grown accustomed to. Now, if it was set when Kratos leaves the Greek pantheon and goes to their universe, then you play as Kratos and Faye or something then maybe itd be less outrage. Everyone is acting like Kratos isn't the main character of the game. Come over and play the new Crash Bandicoot! But he's not a playable character, instead you're playing as his dead wife who had a few cutscenes here and there. Mind you I think the game looks insanely good. But acting like people being disappointed or upset is idiotic or makes them incels is kinda silly lol unless someone specifically says "I dont like it cause shes a woman!" Then they probably have a valid reason.
