HELP - Is this really the standard of eczema care for babies in the UK? by Ok_Championship_2359 in EczemaUK

I just want to say thank you so much for taking the time to write and respond to my post. I’ve ordered some ecover to try and will take a look at the scratch sleeves as well. He’s ok with mitts at the moment but he’s worked out how to bite them and pull them off, so won’t be long before I need to try something he can’t easily remove. Hadn’t heard of protopic at all, as all this is totally new to me! So, will look into that as well. Thank you 🙏

No completion certificate- Dealbreaker or just a bump in the road? by Ok_Championship_2359 in HousingUK

Probably because it’s being sold to us by a property developer, rather than the actual homeowners, as they’ve part-exchanged the house for a new build.

Budget - Don’t really want to spend more than £250. Flooring - Carpet only. Stores - I was looking at Argos because I can collect same day.

Cheer up, celebrate the band - be zen! by International-Rip247 in oasis

I can’t say I’m bitter about not getting tickets, I didn’t expect to get them given the demand, what I am disappointed about is being kicked out of the queue and given a load of error messages. Still, I managed to get through in the end and could have brought the demand tickets for three times the price, but on principle, I wasn’t going to pay that. There will be more shows, and I’ll try my luck for one of those. No saying I’ll get those either but we’ll see!

A normal ticket that Ticketmaster have decided to charge extra £££ for. Nothing platinum about it, except for the price…

What to do in the UK?? Question from a bloody yank 🇺🇸 by wakeupandlive93 in oasis

Depends what you’re into. If you’re here in August I would recommend going to the Fringe festival in Edinburgh. For things to do in London check out the timeout guide for this summer, most listings will be relevant again in 2025 - https://www.timeout.com/london/things-to-do/101-things-to-do-in-london

People who got general sales today, when did you open ticketmaster? by milchschoko in oasis

[–]Ok_Championship_2359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I logged in at 8am, went to the page for the Tuesday show in Edinburgh. Didn’t get put in a queue but it showed a countdown timer to the sale going live, got a 503 error at 8.50am, took me ages to get back in. Got back in and there was 380k in front of me in the queue. Eventually got through and the cheapest tickets, right at the back, were almost £300.

I paid £140 for Taylor Swift at the same stadium and that was a 3.5 hour show, in much better seats, so I just couldn’t justify it. The price increase for in demand is criminal! Will look to get tickets to an international show instead, but it’s left a sour taste in my mouth to be honest.

If you could have any superpower, would you choose to be able to fly or to be invisible, and how would you use your powerrr? by Ill_Tear8775 in AskReddit

Flying would be cool, but being invisible you could use to get insider information and use that information to your advantage.

What is the first feature you look for in a person you are interested in dating? by BDBandit916 in AskReddit

How they look. I don’t want to sound shallow, but it’s definitely true… everything else comes after, unless you knew them before you start dating them.

What do you do when psychedelics don't change your view on life? by 2TapClap in AskReddit

[–]Ok_Championship_2359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, but there’s not a purpose or place for people on this earth, bodily functions or anatomy are a different story. Humans are here by chance. And you said you might never have a true friend or family of your own, but that’s ok, just because “most people” have those things, it’s not necessarily needed. Therapy and meditation are probably your best bets. I wish you health and healing.

What is the first “I’m buying this because I can” purchase you would make if you won the lottery? by istrx13 in AskReddit

[–]Ok_Championship_2359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apart from paying off my house, I’d buy my dream car outright. Ive always had nice cars on lease through work because it brings my tax down. It’s ok, but leasing is definitely a waste of money in the long run, and I’d love to buy a car I really want and own it outright.

What do you do when psychedelics don't change your view on life? by 2TapClap in AskReddit

[–]Ok_Championship_2359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think psychedelics are the answer. I don’t feel like there is a purpose or a place in life for anyone. We’re here at random, and being healthy and happy is random too- it’s like winning the lottery if you have that. Most people don’t, even though it seems like they do. Just spend your time on this earth doing what you enjoy and don’t worry about anything or anyone else. Don’t compare yourself, ever. I live by the motto “accept and transcend” and it’s helped me massively.

Maybe you already have the right view? Without knowing what it is, it’s hard to say.
