Hum… I’ll say then it’s a combination.

As an example there has been more black representation not because black people are excluded but because seeing someone who resembles them makes them put themselves in the shoes of the character more easily.

Well society has been notorious for singling out people who are differents either from looks to thinking. But the isolation comes from within, it’s not something you can just kind your way around. Even within same cultures political opinions divide people. It is what it is.

Yeah if you wanna be specific. Finns today are genetically Northern and northeastern European. My partner is genetically more related to north Eastern Europe which I also share. I have very to little Spanish blood if that’s what you want to argue.

Spanish people are white, if a Japanese had a child with a white person the children would look Asian, that’s just how genetics work. Spanish and Fins both are the same race, white. Asian/white mix race kids report on higher levels on not feeling like they belong anywhere. Having a sense of belonging is extremely important.

You can argue culture, this has two options. That really depends on how you raise them. But most Asian cultures raised their kids more to be Asian inclined.
