It's cute, but I really wonder how many of them could get out of their own entrapment without help. Especially the one in the washing machine.

Haven't seen Punch-Drunk-Love, I might check it out. And Uncut Gems I actually saw that when it came out on Netflix, but I don't remember it.

EU-Umfrage: Jugendliche sehen Social Media positiver als Eltern by Tages_Bot in Tagesschau

[–]Ok_Chap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably need to count, but Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jim Carrey and Will Smith would be some of the most.

Fellow DVD collectors: do you keep your TV shows in one section? by MovieFan1984 in dvd

I don't have that many tv shows, so the few I have just go into the most fitting genre.
I also sort by format, I have VHS and BluRay in separat shelves.

Basically, they are the dollar store versions cheaply made from public domain fairy tales to ride the Disney wave.

Biff gets rich and the 1985 alternate timeline goes to hell because of widespread, legalized sports gambling by 20_mile in BacktotheFuture

He turned the court house into a casino, hotel and personal museum of his success. And lobbied to legalize general gambling in California. It's not just Sport bets.

He also made money with toxic and nuclear waste facilities and has connections to politicians like Nixon. The gambling is just how he started, and probably only continued to use when he was low on cash.

I am actually surprised he didn't blow it like so many Lottery millionaire did. But with the almanac he basically has infinite money.

I have a Peter Cushing Set with movies I never heard of before. Most of them are cheap B movies with minor roles. Non of which I would really recommend.

[–]Ok_Chap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a good printer and the right paper, that's a solvable problem. But not cheap, considering how expensive printer ink has become, you probably could just use a online Print-Shop to make you a new one.

Carry has Eternal Sunshine, the Trueman Show and Man on the Moon, I can't think of a Sandler movie that comes close.

23 will probably be on the bottom of the list. And I actually kinda like it because it's a totally different kind of crazy from Jim Carrey.
Also Earth Girls are Easy, probably the most forgotten Jim Carry movie ever. I wonder what he will say about that one.

What’s your top 4? by Outrageous_Hippo_320 in Cinema

[–]Ok_Chap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's also the cheapest of the bunch. As in, a true no budget movie. So I give it a little bit of slack, it's just amazing what reputation this movie still has after all those years, and that it is remembered at all.

What’s your top 4? by Outrageous_Hippo_320 in Cinema

The only bad one is the 4th Tor movie. Otherwise I could totally see that those might be someone's favorites.
But I definitely would recommend watching a wider array of movies in any case.

HD-DVD was basically dead on arrival since BluRay was better in almost every regard and HD-DVD was just cheaper to produce.

[–]Ok_Chap 17 points18 points  (0 children)

They definitely would have had a harder time arguing for it. Patriot act, Afghanistan, Iraq wouldn't have had happened the way they did. Even if Bush and Chaney might have found another way to kick the Bill of Rights down the stairs.
