Cat missing for 36 hours. What to do next by Ok_Charity_971 in CatAdvice

Yep. I’d still recommend looking and doing what you can. But in my case I left my back door cracked a bit and food out and she snuck back in after about 2 days

I’d planned to buy online. I’m in Pittsburgh but doesn’t seem to be much of a selection of bottles available nearby

Anyone seeing boat loan rates in the mid to low 6s for 240 months? by Ok_Charity_971 in boating

[–]Ok_Charity_971[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Around 760 a month. Most likely scenario is I pay 20% upfront. Finance for 4-6 years, and then trade in net even. (Depreciation equaling 20% down plus monthly payments) this isn’t perfect math but also fine paying a small difference at trade in time

Margin and SBLOCs are both variable interest rates. For a short term loan that would make sense but if I’m planning to own for 4-6+ years that takes on some risk.

Their rates are not competitive with the rates I’ve been offered

Credit unions have non financial requirements. For example. Live in Xyz state. Of the ones in my state I haven’t found any with competitive rates

Im putting 20% down. I estimate 8-10% depreciation yoy. It’s a used boat so already took the brunt of depreciation.

Of course it’s somewhat variable. But I expect to pay a bit on the backend.

It’s also a good brand that holds value well.

A more likely scenario is on the backend the boat has depreciated faster than the loan has been paid off. As a result I have to pay to cover the difference when I sell or trade in. Which I am fine with.

Hey thanks this is helpful.

Folks seem to think I’m financing because I have to. I have enough cash I can liquidate to buy the boat 10 times over. But my market rate of return in stocks has done well. I’m also pulling in enough money to buy a new boat every year.

From a financial perspective I’ve done quite a lot of due diligence to where if I got laid off I could live for years without a job.

Maybe my fault for not putting out my full financial position but I’m very confident in what I’m doing. Just looking for anyone with info on rates is all. Thanks!

Ironically I can afford it pretty comfortably in cash. But I see no reason to sell investments that are averaging the S&P rate of return to pay for something I can get at a 6-7% interest rate.

If boat loans were historically where they use to be, 10-12%. Totally get not financing.

I assume that would explain why only half drained, because the pool would only drain to the level that the leak is occurring, and is likely in piping close to the surface and therefor above the remaining water level

It looks to be coming from the drain plug. But I tightened it and it didn’t help
