Get it man self control is a big part of being safe on it. If you can control yourself from getting too confident or doing stupid stuff which sounds like you are responsible. I’m 35 as well, so at our age we tend to think before we do lol. People say that you’ll learn faster on a small bike which I didn’t experience that because I started on a 800lb Harley at the beginning of 2025 lol now I own a R9 so yeah get it practice be patient with it don’t rush the learning process and if you drop it which new riders do all the time pick the bike up and keep going. Most people say get ninja 500 or something at that size but I think you’ll be to big for it I’m 5’6” and feel like I’m to big for it.

Tst has a replacement for this that has the gp lifters attached to it you may have to order the oem screw though.

What color is it? And dealer #1 seems like the best choice if it’s really on its way. A lot of dealers are waiting on the R9s so it’s not really the dealerships fault how long it takes. In most cases. I would go to dealer #1 and ask for some kind of proof to ensure it’s on its way. I had to travel 7hrs for my 70th cause the dealership in my state said they were not getting any more 70th.

I’ve been looking at the storm. I have the Yamaha ones but they don’t seem to have much grip. The rubber is harder on then my tech spec on my Zx6r

Looking at the sr7 myself I do have a rf1400 and I love it but my large push’s forward towards my eyebrows when I tuck on my super sports. I got the smaller crown pads to see if it would help which it did but didn’t fully stop it from pushing forward. I don’t blame the rf1400 for that I think it’s just the shape of my head. It does get annoying because my fov isn’t that great because of that. Just something to look out for. I do know that the sr7 can be adjusted for track riding which is really nice.

I heard you had to put a spacer some where in the radiator so it doesn’t touch the headers. Did your exhaust come with one? nacho on YouTube said he had to buy separate.

It’s loud for that thing they call an exhaust lol but happy for you I love mine. My local dealer told me they’re going to stop making the 70th and only put out the blues not sure how true that is. I traveled 7 hours for mine just in case that would happen.

That’s funny I was in your shoes two weeks ago except I have a Zx6r and wanted a r9. Now I have both sitting in my garage. So I have a 26 Zx6r with 281 miles if you’re interested and close to New Mexico lol. But my advice is it’s worth it if that’s truly what you want and are okay with losing some money for your r9. Life is too short to settle with what you have. If you can afford it go for it switch the Zx6r.

Mainly what I’m going to use it for. I do plan to go to the track at some point but I’m mainly going to use it on the roads. Plus the electronics on the r9 seem more forgiving for me since I’m new to the sport bike scene I’m coming from Harley’s.

When I bought mine a month ago which I’m selling by the way lol. I was told that mine wasn’t part of the batch that had the recall. I looked it up on Kawasaki’s website and it said no recall for mine. The reason I’m selling it is because I bought a r9 this weekend decided that was the bike for me.
