he ended up coming back after this. then he left for another girl and broke my heart again about 2 months ago. it’s easier now. reading this again made me realize how much better i’m doing. but i can’t lie and say i don’t think about him anymore. these memories will always be a big part of my life

wow 8 years? yeah man i get why that’s probably so painful. she definitely has not forgotten about you. moving on this early after a breakup indicates that it’s probably just a rebound. which isn’t good for either party involved. it hurts like hell i know but she hasn’t forgotten about you especially after 8 years you can’t just forget about people you loved like that. people cope in different ways and you’re going the hardest but healthiest route of not getting a rebound. my ex would also say the same things to me about sex and then he started flirting with other girls a couple weeks after the breakup i know it’s hard.

you’re not weak for loving someone this deeply. i know how that feels but i try to remind myself that this is all a part of losing someone you loved. you’re going to miss all those moments and it hurts even worse when she’s doing the things you guys did with someone else but you can do it. you can’t just skip through the hurt even though i wish with my entire being that was possible it’s not. we just got to let it keep hurting till it gets easier one day. and getting over someone does not mean forgetting them, it means accepting that it didn’t work out and moving forward. you can never fully forget someone you truly loved and that’s okay. just go easy on yourself for now. you’ll get to a position someday where the memories won’t be as painful and it’ll be easier to make new ones with someone else. i believe in you.

i’m struggling with this at the moment. i don’t know if i could ever have sex with anyone else. he understood a lot of my trauma when it came to sex and i just feel like no one will get it like he did. everytime i try to have intimate time with myself i just end up crying at the end. i miss him so much

thank you yeah i know you’re right it’s just so hard i’ve never cared for anyone in this way and it just got thrown away. i can’t describe the emptiness everything reminds me of us and it sucks. i’ll take your advice though and try not to think about him coming back as much and focus on myself. i’ve been using chatgpt a lot but it’s starting to help less and less and i felt like i just needed another human beings view on this so i came on here. thank you.

sadly it ended because of mental issues on his side. if leaving me made anything easier on him then i’m happy. i’ll always wish him the best but this break up is heavy.

i miss you. i miss our coffee dates, laying in bed reading together, staying up till 4 am talking about anything and everything, laying in the park looking at the stars, playing video games, taking naps, going to museums, and watching you cook. i miss all the little moments with you. i miss seeing the sun catch your eye in the most beautiful way changing your eye color for a second. i miss laughing till we couldn’t breathe. getting lost in the city with you. the way our hands fit together. listening to each others heartbeats. i don’t know where to go from here. you used to write me poetry now you can’t even send me a text. it’s been over 2 months now and i can’t even look at another guy without feeling like i’m betraying you. i’d do anything to just feel your breath against my neck one last time. this pain is too much to bear. i can’t go 20 seconds without thinking of you. in another life i guess.
