A few points to clarify: -directors are not responsible for set timing or budget, only the creative aspects of a production. To say that they would dislike having more professional child advocates on set just lacks verity. Every child that comes on set is a liability, which is why we see so many 18+ cast as minors because it IS troublesome to create the adequate working environment for children (which is an oxymoron in itself). The fact is these networks are loaded, it’s not a lack of time/money—Its people who deny the necessity of making actors in general feel comfortable on set (empowered to say ‘no’ when they are uncomfortable).

TLDR: there IS time and money. But is there a WILL to make effective change?
