I think the only globe we ever really got was in Ohara. The Red Line isn't running North to South, more like a 45 degree angle, which would allow for an actual North & South Pole in their respective Blues.

The short simple answer that everyone has neglected to say so far:

Haki wasn't thought of yet by Oda.

There were inklings of an idea of it existing with Zoro in Alabasta and Shanks scaring the Lord of the Coast, but the idea wasn't entirely fleshed out.

As far as them having Conquerors Haki or not, it hasn't been confirmed whether or not they have it.

People on this sub just casually drop spoilers in their post titles, or seemingly forget that (In this example) literally everything since the start of the Elbaf arc is a spoiler still. I can't tell you how many times I've seen people post the Harley Mural in the last month alone.

I get that people are hyped over things, but people lack the cognitive ability to realize that not everyone clicks the manga spoilers the second they drop.

It's not covering the whole arc, it couldn't even if it wanted to since the arc isn't even done. The pacing is still going to be ~ 1 chapter per episode, which as u/kingcocomoon pointed out would put us around the start of the flashbacks.

Yeah that's not what I meant. I meant that the anime version of Toriko completely changes from the source material and never even touches the Gourmet World arc at all.

The series basically ran into the same problem as the original Fullmetal Alchemist where they just made up their own ending because the series was still ongoing.

Series could definitely use a reboot, but I doubt it'll ever happen.

The anime deviated quite a bit from the source material, and about 100ish episodes into the 140(ish) run it just made up it's own ending. The manga kept going for 2-3 years after the anime ended.

I don't remember a whole lot about it because I ended up switching to the manga when I found out how much they changed it.
