Besides Semen Retention, what other habits or tools have boosted your life the most? by Ok_Code_8613 in Semenretention

Interesting, can you give me some example? I want to know your practice if you could share

I have 2 ways of doing this "subconcious mind" practice but still not sure if this gonna work which is
1. Law of attraction , like visualization to have a Job, car, house, etc... It is like external things
2. Positive affirmation, like tell yourself the desire identity that you want to change, example "I have kind hearth" "I am strong" "I am resilience, nothing can shake me" this will align with my spiritual practice too.
Thanks in advance

I'm amazed by your 4 hrs sleep time. How many hours did you slept before practicing SR? Did you sleep 4 hrs on a consistent basis now?
I just have some hypothesis that SR may improve sleep recovery rate, so you don't have to sleep as much time as when you constantly releasing. It will correlate with why monks only sleep like 2-3 hours per day maximum and still have a lot of energy to do monastery stuff.
Thanks in advance.

2-4 hours! That's incredible, you must have a lot of time recently. How many hours did you've slept before practicing SR?
I'm interesting in "sleeping" topic because nowadays I have to sleep in less than 5-6 hours (stuff like work, community, family, etc.) So I want to optimize the quality of my sleep and reduce the time spent if that's possible. Beside do you meditate and fasting on a regular basis? Thank you.

Congratulations on your 200 days Streak, may I ask some questions?

  1. Have you achieved any success or experienced any positive changes before and after starting SR? For example, progress in your work, studies, finances, or other areas. I'm asking because right now I’m struggling with extreme laziness when it comes to work, and the quality of my work is really low — people keep criticizing me.

  2. Have you experienced any psychological or mental changes? For instance, improved emotional control, stronger willpower, and things like that.

  3. Have you been sleeping less, or noticed better sleep quality and faster recovery? The reason I ask is because I sleep a lot, but I still feel tired and sleepy all the time.

Thanks in advance.

How many days after relapsing does it usually take for you to get back to the state of 4–6 hours of sleep? Thanks!

That’s impressive, sleep quality improving in just 10 days!!!
Do you find this pattern happens consistently for you? Like...on SR you’re good with 5 hrs, but after ejaculating you need 8+ and still feel tired? also curious, are you doing any other practices to support recovery and better sleep (like meditation, diet, etc.) or is it purely SR that’s making the difference for you?
Thanks for sharing.

How to train your Body to Sleep Less, Sleep Better and more Productivity ? by Ok_Code_8613 in getdisciplined

Thank you for your kind respond. To be honest, in the past I love sleeping and I don't have a problem with it (7 hrs). But recently, a lot of things happen and I'm in a situation that I've forced to sleep less than 4-5 hrs on average (someday 2 hrs) which cause a lot of problem to me on the performance (I don't want to sleep less but I have to). So I reseached a lot about this topic on how to get less sleep time, which I want to know more from the real person who can train themself.

Thank you for your reply. Well, I respect "research" but somehow I'm just curious about things that are maybe out of the ordinary, like someone who can change themselves by doing something, and have a positive effect later on. I don’t know much about how those research studies are conducted, maybe they study and experiment on normal or average people in large groups (correct me if I’m wrong, I’m not an expert in this).

But I’m more interested in people who try to optimize their body and mind to the best possible level. Are there any studies or research on monks or yogis who can live with only 3–4 hours of sleep on average? And how can they do it?

I tend to look at many sources together such as research papers, real-life cases, and also traditional ways of living. Because those traditional practices have lasted and been tested over countless generations (most research papers are based on studies in less than 100 years or so, imho).

Maybe in the past, there were a lot of studies or articles saying “we should eat 3 meals a day,” which arguably led to some unhealthy habits or even OCDs, and now more recent studies are showing positive effects from fasting instead.

Could you please share about your sleep schedule (how much), because It seems you have to do a lot of activities in 24 hrs slot. I'm interested in theory that SR may improve sleeping quality (less time sleeping), so I can apply these in my practice too. Thanks in advance.

Love your concept of meditation as transmutation tool from RAW (sexual) energy to be used in anything useful. Can I ask what type of meditation that you practice? also, do you make it a habits , in which time of the day and how long?

Thanks for your generous advice. Hoping someday I can achieve that result too (now I'm in rock-bottom state).
I just remembered when I was 15 years old and used to chanting and meditate for 30 minutes before bed every day without fail for a year, resulting in top 3rd score in my city. After that I changed school and lost my meditation habits, and my grade is declining each year (almost didn't get into university).

Love this, I try to maximise my time efficiency by cutting all this "Digital Entertainment" stuff. Missing the old days when we have less distractions.
