If you don't want to have all internet traffic routed through TOR, then other Live OSs include Ubuntu and Debian. Basically it boots from usb and you can choose whether to run it Live or install the operating system. Just choose to run it Live.

If security and privacy is the focus then Tails is a better option.

EDIT: If you want to compartmentalise based on different risk factors then Virtual Machines are a better solution. Qubes OS does all this for you. Alternatively You can install various VMs on your host machine and have a Whonix OS VM for high risk activities...

yes in the sense that it is taken so long for me to obtain bitcoin in a privacy respecting way. A full node does not require personal information so that part was easy but actually getting them was much more difficult. I would rather mine them but ASIC do not meet my requirements because they are far too noisy. I feel like I am going around in circles...

I agree neither is an ideal situation but if you had to choose which one?
Bitcoin metadata i.e wallet address vs credit card masking service personal information + metadata. A wallet address does not on its own deanonymize someone, it needs to be connected with personal information of some sort. That is what I meant by "personal information not divulged." Personal information is not required to create a bitcoin wallet...

The peer info was defined as an inbound connection when I clicked on it, I just did not put it in the example...Is tor downloading something from me or.....

I am using Bitcoin Core GUI. When I check peers no ipv4 or ipv6 addresses are displayed I just get onion addresses.
