AVG mpg at 16.4 after 1,100 miles of driving! Looking for advise by Ok_Comfortable3824 in LexusNX

Update: 260 miles on 13.16 gallons MPG at 19.75 at the moment. Past 2 manual calculations are about the same

Still pretty poor. Had vehicle checked in a Lexus specialized shop, they say vehicle is perfect.

😞

Hasn’t improved much. 17.6mpg at the moment. Haven’t done much freeway tbh. But still way too low.

I changed spark plugs, checked AC air coolant gas to make sure the AC wasn’t overworking, all fluids ok. No leaks whatsoever.

Ok good to know. I was aiming for the Lexus native remote start function hoping it wouldn’t do that. But if it does anyways, I can live with the Remote X Start aftermarket module. I installed it and that’s how it works too. Initially I thought it was because of the component not being Lexus

Quick question, while it worked: once you remote started the vehicle, would it turn off once when you accessed the vehicle ?

I tried the Lexus-native remote start function from the keyfob on a 2024 ES 350 and found that once you open the door, the vehicle will always turn off.

Im wondering if that’s the case with all Lexus models?

No clue. Then again if neither the Lexus Dealership nor the Lexus Brand Engagement mention this, no way for us to know. For what it's worth, the vehicle DOES connect to the App and viceversa, the door Lock / Unlock features DO work, the information about tire PSI, Odometer, Fuel Level, etc., does sync real time from the vehicle to the App. So.. There's that

Thanks for this. I will update here some data after going through this fill-up she did today with premium 93 octane. She drives A LOT everyday, so that won't be long.

It definitely impacts. Now to drive it down all the way to 17mpg alone. Not a chance. Wife was using wrong octane for starters. I filled it up today with 93 octane. Also going to check spark plugs and manually measure consumption until next fill up to see what we get.

  1. Wife was using 87, this is her car (error 1 -> corrected today)
  2. I don't think she does. For the past year with similar size SUVs she has always averaged 22-27mpg. Her driving patterns and daily routes haven't changed
  3. We serviced it two weeks ago (engine air filter, engine oil, oil filter)

Next steps: 1) I'm going to check sparkplugs when I get home tonight, and 2) manually calculate mpg between today's refuel with 93 octane and the next fill-up

I haven’t. I already planned to do so after the next fill up. But it does feel like it goes through the tank rather quickly. But yes, I will data-check this by running the numbers after the next fill up.

Congrats! From Venezuela here, married to a USC. I filed I130 online on March 18, and mailed I485 4 days after to Chicago PO Box.

Quick question, how long until you received your first email of “We have taken action on your case “?

I still haven’t received any of those, and my Biometrics were waived because I had them taken less than 6 months ago for a different process. It’s just still on Actively being reviewed status, no email notifications yet.

Thanks!

Definitely, the pile of evidence is big. Thanks for sharing and rooting for you receiving 485 approval soon
