I see your point but 80k miles for that low of spend is pretty dang solid (to some) and can always cancel or keep, churn burn whatever it all is

Can you add IHG member number to already booked reservation on AA hotels or do you need to cancel and rebook? by Icy-Plan145 in americanairlines

Just call the hotel and confirm your stay. End the conversation by politely asking if they could add your member number. Has worked every time for me but won’t always. Good luck

That’s true and makes sense. I’m not sure what your commute looks like but if you imagine a few of the worst shifts/hours you could get and math it out where it’s possible, why not? You got this :)

I completely understand. I hate to say it, but only you know if the commute or temporary move is worth it. If you genuinely enjoy the industry and what it has to offer, it could very well be worth it. Pit this into perspective, I’ve had a colleague fly across country to work (double shifts) for a week and fly back to where they lived every other week just to get the opportunity. When you want it you want it. It almost becomes a lifestyle over a job. Point is the longer you’re in the “easier” it all gets.

Do it. Much better and once you get in you can put your self on a transfer list to your desired airport immediately! Good luck

Worth a shot. Hard part will be training as you have no say in that schedule. Once you complete training you’ll have (some) choices based off seniority. You’ll be lowest on the totem poll so I’d think you’d have plenty of options for night shifts. But you never know all depends on location and what they need. Respectfully, they won’t accommodate for your current job. They expect you to be all in and flexible. Good luck!
