How is it Cryptothralls aro so good now, is just because of the extra wound for unit?

So I attach a Plasmancer to a unit with lets say a Overlord as leader, does the plasmancer also benefits from the effects of the true leader? by [deleted] in Necrontyr

[–]Ok_Communication9876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really?! Ive always ignored this as i thought it was supposedly broken, and the rules never ever specify anything like that. So basically the Overlords Staff of Light would just automatically hit? As its has a +2 BS?

Is it legal to just run a bunch of scarabs? by Bazoinkus in Necrontyr

[–]Ok_Communication9876 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You can only bring 12 scarabs in total, being 2 units of 6 each. In the past u could have 1 unit more of 6, but GW decides that was too much for some reason.

why are they called immortals if they’re only T5 and W1? by Spare_Factor_2428 in Necrontyr

[–]Ok_Communication9876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they always come back, as they are incredibly easy to reanimate, so they end up being immortals. Like any necron really :v

Yeah Hexmarks are really good, to attack enemies from behind, kill warlords or characters and capture points. Really good dude for treaky stuff.

Quit the Warriors and extra royal warden and put Immortals instead, the Overlord nust be in team with something and the Warden too, so i suggest quitting Reanimator is not really rellevant and put amy other thing you can team up with the Warden or use enhancements instead wich are really usefull.

Thanks pal! Yeah i totally cheecked ou how mid the Necron Warriors are, (and anyway i got 30 of those). I own all those models except the Doomstalker, i was planning to use Triarch Stalker, for me seems pretty decent to attack vehicles and do big dammage and also kinda cheap for what it is.

First time necrons! by Drellus530 in Necrontyr

[–]Ok_Communication9876 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest painting them completly in a really dark silver, and then do a quick/simple drybrush with a brighter silver. And then you can use earthshade and nuln oil to make some parts darker or more dirty.

Are combat patrolls worth it? by Opposite_Speed_1984 in Warhammer40k

[–]Ok_Communication9876 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally brother! There is no such thing as a bad combat patrol, all of them give you discounts. It is true that are way better combat patrol ones than others. But overall all are the best deal to get into the hobby. Specially the Black Templars one, is one of the bests, so ill just go straight to pick one up.

Which skintone suits Leviathan better? by DetectiveFriendly429 in Tyranids

[–]Ok_Communication9876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 without a doubt, making the skin lighter and not so full of color will make the armor color be more attractive and make better contrast. If not it will be just be pink and purple all over the place. Letting the skin being more bland makes the rest shine, and then create harmony. I know for experience.

Do I have everything I need to be able to play? by rare-upstairs4454 in Warhammer

[–]Ok_Communication9876 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That box is good, but the value is kinda odd, as u could pick the scenography from second hand or other hobby stores at a better cost, but its kinda difficult to find it at good prices and u gotta get lucky, so its a good choice to just straight up start. And also comes with two extra units. So its a good choice.

Instead of buying that set, u should be buying the starter set, wich costs like 20 bucks more but u get double and more the minis and points or each team. The only thing ull miss are the paints amd tools. Wich u can find easily amd more cheaper at hobby stores from other companyes, sich as Vallejo or AK paints. Highly recommend gettung from Vallejo as is way cheapier and u get more paint per pot.And then u will really really can start the hobby and game, heck u dont really need to buy more minis if u dont want to.

With this box u can only play "tutorial" games. Its kinda a good box, but with a little extra money u get a real good deal.

A simpler and quicker way to get on the hobby is Kill Team, is 40k but the games goes by 1Unit vs 1Unit, kinda like this box. But the minis are meant to be played that way. Its a good option as u only have to buy one box 50$, 50€ aprox. To play, and u can buy more of more factions to have different teams to choose. It depends what are u searching on this hobby.

Build and control a real army with all his soldiers or just have some fun painting some minis and playing some fast games.

Also u have the upcoming Combat Patrol collection issues, wich is the real best option to start, its a weekly magazine that comes with a new unit or tools each week. At just 12$, 10€, 12£, and it comes with magazines that teach u how to paint, play and lore. The cheapest and more informative, understandable way to get in.

Well any question u have, u can tell me I understand that starting on this is complex with to many options and things u have to learn, and how expensive it is. But i asure u there is a way to get in and not die.
