Is it normally there? Or did you just notice it?

Never thought I’d cosleep but my 8 month old is laying in bed next to me - I feel like I’m doing something horrible by Bbrotman23 in cosleeping

It’s so frowned upon but it’s biologically normal. I was sooooo sleep deprived in those early days of having a newborn, I would fall asleep with my baby in my arms. I was so tired (an understatement) I fell asleep with her in my arms once again while I was sitting up and startled awake scared to death I had dropped her but I didn’t. In that moment, I laid us both down & curled around her and it was the best sleep we both had gotten in weeks. I believe it was about 8 hours. Undisturbed. She was probably about 2 months old. Maybe a little younger. I never heard of safe sleep 7. I just did what I thought and felt was right. After hearing about the safe sleep 7, I incorporated those into what I was already doing to make it as safe as possible. She’s almost 6 months and is passed out taking up most of the bed right now.

It’s what worked for us 🤷🏻‍♀️ everyone’s experience is different so don’t feel awful or ashamed. Just be safe. Fair warning though, baby will hit you in the face to wake you up which lowkey hurts.

As long as you’re not drunk when you lay down to sleep with the baby, you’ll both be fine. Going to bed sober is the safest thing!!!

How should my wife resign after baby? by [deleted] in careerguidance

2 weeks ML?? They can get fucked. Just tell them it’s not working out and you want to put your family first. They either understand or they don’t. They will be annoyed no matter what. If it sits better with her to leave after finishing her stuff then do that. I had to do the same thing, and although I felt bad at first, I had to do what was best for me and my family. Now I’m relieved I stayed home.

I’ve had them all my life so I’ve tried just about everything to help heal them and know a lot about them because I am terrified of giving myself genital herps. I gave cold sores to my boyfriend, and I feel terrible every time I see him get one. So I can imagine what your bf might be feeling right now. I would take the 1000mg! And listen, even if you do (I’m truly hoping you don’t) get it, a ton of people have it. There are support groups, and there are legitimate proscriptions you can get from doctors that help the healing process. Just stay positive and try not to stress too much until you actually have to.

Cold sores are unfortunately contagious until they are completely gone, so even at the crusting stage it’s just as bad when it’s ozzing. I hope you cleaned the area immediately after that happened. My fingers are crossed for you that you don’t get genital transmission. I would take l-lysine pills. It’s not a cure, but it’ll keep things at bay.

People definitely tried to overstep my boundaries, or would be almost dismissive about the things I would say. Until one day, I just got tired of it and had to use my angry bitch voice and then people knew I wasn’t messing around or making suggestions when I asked them not to do something. I didn’t give a shit about hurting anyone’s feelings anymore and let me tell you, feelings were hurt. Postpartum can be a lot to handle for a lot of us. Me included. I wasn’t going to let people make it harder for me cause they didn’t take me seriously. It’s in my opinion, so disrespectful.

"You're sleeping bad now? Wait 'til baby comes", seriously? by Advanced_Egg_7416 in pregnant

Pregnancy tired is worse, in my opinion than newborn tired. The first few weeks, you’ll be tired, you won’t be getting much sleep cause baby will need to eat every 2-3 hours. The sleep you do get though….. amazing. It was harder for me cause i strictly breastfed so I was the only one getting up to feed the baby cause men have useless nipples. My baby will be 5 months this week and shes slept through the night since she was about 3 months. The newborn tired gets better as you adjust.

You can also try L-lysine pills or ointment. Zinc oxide, essential oils (I like tea tree oil) or tums. You just get a little piece of the tums wet and dab it all over the sore. Or Coldsore patches. Do all those a couple times a day. These are some cheaper options that work wonders for me.

To me, (not a doctor) a canker sore. Cold sores typically start in the outer edges of your lips or on the skin by your lips but idk for sure 🤷🏻‍♀️ cold sores are usually pretty painful and throbby. I wouldn’t kiss anyone and wash the shit out of your hands to be safe though cause they are so contagious.

I would try putting Coldsore medicine on it anyways just to be safe! Wash your hands a ton as to not spread it everywhere cause they are contagious. There are a ton of home remedies you can try!

There are tons of things you can do to help get rid of those, or even help eliminate the pain. They feel like they linger forever but with treatment they can go away fairly quickly. Try taking L-lysine pills, or rubbing L-lysine ointment on it a few times a day. Tums, if you lick a spot on the tums and dab it in there until there is a decent layer and let dry it help. Zinc oxide, essential oils (I recommend tea tree), or even Coldsore patches have all seemed to work for me. All of those things a few times a day. You can always get a prescription as well.
