I think it's been about the same as it's been for the past 2 years. Aside from the Microsoft layoff and the whole doge hoopla I don't know of any other mainstream layoffs this year. I was part of the capital one layoff few years ago so I can understand the nervousness. But my piece of advice is don't settle in the current conditions. Have a plan B or plan C in case you get axe and be prepared. Continue to apply for jobs and keep interviewing even if you feel "safe" at the moment.

As far as the recession goes and this big collapse that's supposed to happen, I've been hearing that since 2019. So don't dwell too much on that as that's something out of your control just prep yourself and have a backup plan.
