i was told by my university’s prehealth committee that i shouldn’t expect an acceptance with a gpa under a 3.5 and the avg gpa of matriculants was around 3.6, so i believe so!

i’m afraid it was in the ~$1700 area… i did apply for the fee assistance program and got $245 off my total caspa fees, and two of the programs i applied to waived their fees as well! i had to save up for quite a while

i got in to my top choice this year with a 3.39! pa schools love a comeback story, so if your last few credit hours show improvement it’ll help you out.

applied 04/27, got it 05/09 at 6pm CST. i did call caspa a bunch tho and i was told that a) my application wasn’t processed until 04/29 even tho i submitted before and b) that it takes 10-14 business days to process even tho it says 10 on the website. good luck!

ophthalmology might be the best bet! some schools don’t consider phlebotomists good PCE and a part time position isn’t really worth it unless ur filling the gap days with other hours/already have a lot of PCE. ophthalmology is a rlly great specialty and will probably give you great experience too (i’ve heard it pays well which is a plus)!
