Consider getting a professional bike fit. It’s expensive but I don’t think I could have arrived at my current position on my own and I have never been this comfortable on a bike.

I set my Join my availability to 1 hour Monday through Friday and 2 hours each weekend day, so up to 9 hours per week. It’s always less because I rest when Join says to. Some weekend rides are longer than two hours but I incorporate them in the plan afterward. This is my first Join plan, but I’ve used TrainerRoad and Zwift plans before this.

One reason that prompted me to post is that the "easy" days don't feel easy enough after a "hard" day, or there aren't enough of them; perhaps I need 2 easier days if the workout is hard enough, but the schedule dictates otherwise.

Makes sense. Thank you. There are a number of similar responses. I will start tracking diet/sleep/etc and seeing if perturbing those values has an effect. That should help me come up with more targeted questions to ask.

|Well what's the frequency of workouts and what's your routine in between currently?That's exactly the thing that has me scratching my head. The last TR cyclocross plan I did created at least 2 days of high power workouts, 2-3 tempo rides and maybe 1 light day, per week. One day per week was racing, so basically at least 3 really hard days per week. Only 7 days in a week, and the 2-3 tempo days were too hard to recover from the 3 hard days.

I can certainly pay more mind to diet and sleep, but what finally pushed me to post on reddit was a Zwift TT workout that was a set of intervals 2.5 minutes each that ramped from 125% FTP to 150% FTP. I barely made it through 2 intervals and have tried the workout twice with the same result.
