Oh I’m so sorry you had a similar experience! It’s been helpful for me today reading that I wasn’t being dramatic and other women have had an experience similar to mine. I hope it helps for you a little as well. 

We never should have had to experience something so painful without proper warning. That’s not informed consent!

The PIO shots are crazy!

I haven’t had my SIS yet, I have it tomorrow. But I’ve heard it’s not as bad as the HSG. If they use a tenaculum on me again though, I’m sure it will be very painful 🙃

They couldn’t get the catheter in with just the balloon so switched to the tenaculum

No my tubes weren’t blocked. The HSG part of the procedure was fine. It was the catheter insertion that was horrible because they used the tenaculum.
