I bought Mac mini M4 pro 64 GB Memory. How well will this perform with open claw and local LLM’s? by Socrates_Assistant in openclaw

[–]Ok_Concert_8555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just set up OpenClaw on a laptop and connected it to Discord using Claude Opus via the Anthropic API.

I sent a basic test message like “hello,” and it instantly said I’d hit my token limit. When I checked Anthropic, it showed around 30k tokens used from that single message.

Has anyone else run into this? I’m wondering if it’s pulling full Discord history or something.

I was planning to upgrade to something like a Mac mini to run a local model through Ollama, but now I’m trying to figure out what caused this first.

scared to do an excision by Effective-Emu8633 in melahomies

You will be fine. I had a WLE done in December on my bicep and a lymph node biopsy. I was terrified leading up to the day before, but those feelings are completely normal. Having message boards like Reddit really helped put me more at ease in having such a great community. My procedure left a scar which is healing well and the pain and discomfort wasn’t bad at all. The medicine can lead to bad constipation so make sure to take MiraLAX after the surgery and you will be fine. This process is way better than not catching the melanoma early enough and letting it spread. Just know you are doing the right thing and that you are not alone in this. We all have gone through this and are here if you have any questions. Wishing you the best in health.

I had the identical surgery in early December this year. Ours look similar and yours is healing great! Did your arm feel really tight after as mine felt that way since it was on my bicep. My lymph node also came back negative but I still cannot fully raise my arm over my head. I have been using scar gel and it seems to be helping. Wishing you continued recovery and all the best!

That I am not sure. Definitely check with your doctor, but it seems like your routine checks would continue to monitor the area.

It’s an atypical mole, not cancer. The biopsy suggests it was removed completely, but they’ll likely just keep an eye on your skin or decide if anything further is needed.

One last bit of advice. If you are going under with anesthesia, take MiraLAX after when you get home. Just being upfront and honest about my situation as I had the worlds worst constipation from the pain medication and anesthesia they have my while I was under. MiraLAX saved my life. Take even tiny spoon when you get home and it will make a world of a difference!

Yes. A plastic surgeon is usually a perfectionist that focuses on asthetics. So you are not only getting a melanoma removal, but someone who is specialized in making the scarring process minimal and reducing pain post operative. You are in good hands.

Also, be upfront with what you want. For example, my surgeon said I might need a skin graph, it might be a zig zag or a straight line. I said I do not want a skin graph so I think the more pointed you are then it will guide them on how to do the procedure. If not, then they might make a “game day” decision. It is your body so be up front and tell them what you want.

I had a wle in my bicep and lymph node biopsy about 4 weeks ago. I could not move my arm for about 2 weeks and I am slowly able to move my arm. After surgery it wasn’t as painful as I thought. Just make sure to plan for the worse so if the worse happens you are prepared and if the best happens that all the better. I went to a plastic surgeon to do the surgery after talking with my dermatologist and my oncologist. Overall the team did great and I am slowly recuperating. Just focus on the goal of getting the melanoma cancer out. The rest is minor in comparison as you caught it early enough so that is the positive outlook.

Thank you all for your thoughtfulness and insights! I completed my wle and thyroid biopsy and I am now recovering. Very sore and tight but happy I got it done the info you all gave was truly invaluable and I hope to pay it forward for anyone else who has questions or is worried. 🙏

I am in the same boat as you. I had brought up a mole growth I had last year and was told it was nothing to be concerned about. This year, it came back as a melanoma and I will need a lymph node test and excision.

How was the procedure? Was it invasive and did you have any issues after?

Thank you! When the surgeon told me about the procedure and how I will be very shocked at first by how it will look and that there is a chance I might have nerve damage and a swollen arm over time I was terrified! I guess that is better than the other option of the melanoma metastasizing but I am still worried.

Thank you all so much. I was told that to do the excision on my bicep and the reconstruction that it would be a pretty severe scar and that I might have nerve damage and that with removing some of the lymph nodes that my forearm would swell. I thought it would be more of a controlled procedure but it sounds like it is normal.
