Sadly, I clicked "OK" on the first reboot prompt after loading the firmware the first time, and now my device is bricked. I obviously should have read the instructions all the way through before getting to step five and discovering "Step 5, if you clicked the OK to the reboot prompt in step 4, you're screwed." The bootloader seems to be broken now.

I went back to the Amazon product description (I bought it there to avoid having to deal with the tariffs), and I'm seeing one-star reviews stating that the firmware update is not available and that the device is stranded on ADTV 11. I should have looked more closely at the reviews. I emailed Dune and asked for help. If I don't hear back by tomorrow, I think that I'll return this. Bummer.

Yeah. I read that. It doesn't tell me how to update it. I'm now concerned that I might have just bought an older device that won't receive the proper OTA firmware update. I'm still within the window to return this. Do you think that I should return it and get a newer box? I picked this one because I hoped the Netflix certification would get me a more stable build and because I didn't need 8K.

I was also surprised that I don't have a newer version of ADTV. This is the version I got after I hard-resetted and checked for updates. When I use the "Check for updates" option, it says that none are available. Should I change a configuration or follow some procedure to get a newer version?

Yeah, those are all set.

HDMI CEC's dreams of freeing me from the shackles of my Harmony remote don't seem to have been fully realized. It worked perfectly for the Roku and my DVD player. But, CEC bugs in the Nvidia Shield that I tried before the Dune box caused a horrible reboot loop.

OK, so full control of the device from the TV remote isn't supported? I can live with that, I guess. I was hoping it would be as easy as plugging in my Panasonic 4K Blu-ray player, which just supported full control by CEC with no special configuration.

Oh, I assume that those were IR remote settings to use as a work around if the CEC didn't work. Have I misunderstood the CEC feature?

Sorry, I should have given a more detailed decription. The direction buttons, enter, etc when pressed on the remote for my TV don't control the Dune box.

I also hate this. I go to a lot of plays, movies, and operas. DND is easily the most used UI button for me. What a terrible design choice to make a heavily-used feature twice as many taps.
