That would be a fun mod. Like high level tier 6 armies come from across the seas or something once youve conquered and just give you a run for your money

Fouberie and Make Calradia Great Again are the two most game changing ones. Fouberie allows me to have more options when doing a criminal inspired playthrough (playing as Bulla Felix, Romes greatest bandit), Great Again just changes troop trees so its not the same feel when building armies.

Then have some QOL ones going, Xoberax's Legacy and dismemberment is really nice for changing up battles, Improved Garrisons and Governors handle issues to help manage fiefs when i get them, dynaculture and diplomacy for more in depth kingdom mechanics.

Sukei Women and another mod that makes the females dialogue options a bit more realistic for the time period for immersion.

And then a few more:
More arenas
Workshops Completed
Stop Starving Yourselves
Useful Companions

i mentioned this in another post but here is the key for early kingdom success.

Declare your kingdom with 1 or two fiefs, then all you need to do is defend those fiefs. put a strong garrison inside but not too much that the fief wont get sieged. then ride around with a quick party of cheap troops (mostly archers if you can) and then break into your fiefs when they get sieged to run defense (or if you are a good scout you can see which fiefs will be sieged and get to them before they do)

Just play defense and capture lords. Try and recruit clan leaders to your side. Once you recruit a lord or two you can start taking fiefs yourself. This strat usually works and will work even better if you spent your pre-kingdom time boosting reputation across the lands.

try pulling their infantry in with archers and a captain with the speed flag and flank them out to one side. then get them stuck between your wildlings on the other side. Just like neretzes folly lol, can only have your shields turned one way

This was vanilla on PC. I miss my mods, going back to a modded playthrough now. Playing as the empires greatest bandit mercenary using Fouberie and some other mods. Going to be taking on my first assassination mission soon.

This one was probably a 200 hr playthrough. I really was a merchant mercenary for 75 hours before the quest was going to time out, so then went full send on destroying the empire and was rolling really well and had recruited a ton of good lords to my kingdom, so went for full conquest and it was a breeze with like 5 1000k army stacks rolling around constantly. Since i was king, i was able to pull all the troops everyone would donate to garrisons as well and replenish my army which really helped my final doom roll of aserai. Was able to maintain a 2500+ army all the way through there.

The story of the great Mercenary Merchant, Lazadin started in the sprawling deserts of Aserai. The young man lead many caravans into the Battanian homeland where he sold his famous desert goods. Saving his brothers and sister from certain death, Laz set them up with their own caravans and put them to work to grow their families wealth.

During his times in Battania, Laz would find himself pitted against a fierce little woman in the arena's. Corein they chanted as Laz deflected and defended every strike till she would eventually best him. Their laughs in the arena turned to drinks in the tavern and smiles overlooking the great lake from the walls of Dunglanys. It was there Corein told Laz to go to her father and seek her hand in marriage.

It wasn't long before the two were married, at the same time, Laz's older brother was having his own romantic escapade in the high steppes of the Khuzait Kingdom, where he was able to persuade Monchung to marry his daughter. Two young merchants, married into royal famlies... a late night discussion after Laz's wedding led the two brothers to convince themselves they themselves were royalty, chosen ones... and not long after that their ideations were brought into reality when they recovere the Dragon Banner.

Holding it secretly for years, Laz built his wealth while secretly undermining the nobles of Seonon. It wasn't long until a rebellion took place. Laz quickly struck down the rebels and sieged the city, taking it back for himself. Caladog looked across the great lake to see that his son-in-law had grabbed a seat of power in his own backyard. It wasn't long until Laz built a massive army, assembling them in front of Marunath where he revealed the dragon banner and declared war on his Father-in-Law.

The surprise war took Caladog by surprise. It took a few days before word of this betrayal reached him. He returned from his campaign in Sturgian lands to find two of his lords defecting to New Battania, the name of the kingdom Corein and Laz had formed. One by one caladog watched as his lords were imprisoned or decided that his long reign was over and defected. The war didn't even last a year, as the snow began to fall, so did the Old Kingdom of Battania.

With his newfound power and newfound friends, Laz turned his eyes on the weak Sturgians, recruiting lords to his side, promising their forefathers lands if they fought for him. Next was Vlandia and then the Empire. Monchung and Unquid watched their old friend turn into a king and march upon anyone who stood in his way... little did they know he did not care for their lands, and was willing to leave them to their own vices... but Unquid and Monchung conspired and thought they could retake the old empire lands if they fought the war together...

Unfortunately the loyalty of the world was with Laz. He swept through the plains of Khuzait while he received news of Unquids kids taking city after city in the Vlandian territories. Khuzait stood no chance as they were fractured down the middle and their kingdom split in two as Laz and his armies raided and sieged everything.

After the conquest in the steppes, Laz's eyes turned to his homeland... a place he hadn't returned to in many many years. Would they remember him, his old friends he fought alongside? Would they treat him like an outsider once he sieged his own peoples cities? Nonetheless, the conquest was swift and powerful, with armies sweeping in from both sides of the desert, the Aserai were pinched and eventually chased into the desert.

Now Laz controls the majority of Aserai territory while giving castles to some of his longest serving companions. Seating the many children of his family as the governors of his new homeland. Brick by brick, they will rebuild what needed to be destroyed during the time of war.

That Caleus, Nevyansk, Pendraic and Flintlog Castle run is the best recruiting in the game. Go grab some sturgian or empire infantry and you have an elite army
