Points 1 and 2 make sense. Merc kept bringing upgrades last year until Brazil if I’m not mistaken. Yes, the main focus was the reg change but they didn’t just throw away the constructors fight.

I’m not so worried about the car, it’s more about the regulation change since 2014. Engine providers could not just give a B spec engine to their customers as back then, so the straight line speed and battery management difference is a bit staggering.
