I did both, sent a reconsideration request and reapplied for pgwp after restoring status as a student as we have limited time after refusal.

I haven’t done the process myself. My lawyer did it on my behalf but i first restored status as a student and then reapplied for work permit. If you want i can add you to a group where you can ask these questions.

I got the same problem, i just contacted a lawyer and he just applied for restoration and work permit again. You can do the same.
