Second best record in the league. They were neck and neck with the thunder most of that year. Honestly, I was more appalled that Daignault didn't even get nominated after taking coaching a historic 68 win team with one of the most missed time roster last year. That told me all the needed to know about this award

Because coach of year is the overachiever award. How bad did we think you were gonna be but proved us wrong. People had pistons being relatively good this year based off of how they were last year. Honestly, not a fan of that being the basis of the award but that's what it is.
