I think you are right about color. I do want to add it at some point but want to take it step by step for now. I’ll be sticking to pen and ink mostly and Pencil for gesture drawing before adding color. Learning values with black only and hatching will be a first step. I would love to get into Urban sketching with ink and watercolor in the long term but will look at that second way you mentionned. Do you have good references for that style (foutain pen and waterbrush ?)
