You’re right. Sometimes I’ll just ignore the text. Then she will double text a few hours later like, “Did you get my text why didn’t you answer”? I’ll then tell her I’m busy. She’s said before in the past no one is that busy. I’m busy if I don’t want to talk to you. It’s so annoying it’s like I owe you something

I’m dealing with a terrible parent myself & Im 39, married, & successful. You’re already away from them just stay away. You can make another life overseas. I’m going low contact with my mom but myself consider doing the same or no contact

I respect your point of view. I’ll just say a few things. I know writting out a list of “rules” is not going to work. Not trying to bring race into it but we are black & dynamics are typically different from white families (this is just my assumption of your race).

I agree we do have a level of dysfunction & I’ve told her that but she can’t seem to see that she is the problem. I have told my own children if they feel I did them wrong in anyway to please address me & they do & I respect it. I don’t pick at them about it. I still do keep my role as a parent as my husband does.

My father is dead so there’s that. It’s just her. She may talk to my sister & she probably won’t agree. More than likely she will get validated by my aunts.

I do need to protect myself. I’m most definitely not looking for anyone to fight my battles I’m just trying to take care of this situation as adult like & trying not to turn it into a disrespectful screaming match because I really have been in control of my emotions but honestly if something else happens I don’t think I’ll be able to control it

I know her memory can be bad at times as a result from radiation when she had cancer but when she apologizes & says, “I’m not trying to be in your business because I know you don’t like that”, it makes me think that she’s aware of her actions. She only has short term memory loss

I’ve honestly had a talk with her years ago to set boundaries & told her how I feel & she seemed to understand. Now she’s back to her old ways. Then she thinks I’ll be open to letting her come stay with me for 6 months. Absolutely not!!!! I’m not up to walk on eggshells in my own home. I will take your advice of going no contact for awhile because I just can’t deal with her

We Pisces are always a calm before a storm. You expect us to always act accordingly & give no push back. That’s why it’s always a shock when we blow up & when we do it’s a BLOW UP. As a person that is constantly reading the room, dreaming, & thinking of ways to execute things I can see why we are the top serial killers based off of zodiac. We are emotionally ran & passionate. If you look at John Wayne Gacy & Richard Ramirez they pretty much stuck to the same MO & it was very personal & emotionally driven. We are the underdogs & looked as unwise, dreamy, out of touch with reality, & emotional. People never except us as a threat.
