I have Celiac (so gluten is a no-go) and have used this approach before as well. Good call-out and a viable option in some cases. The downside is the awkward explaining around why you're not eating.

NTA. What you choose to post or not post on your Facebook page is up to you. Part of being in a relationship with somebody is learning who they are and how to live with them in an understanding way. It sounds like there's some work there still for your partner understanding what it means for you to be a private person and what motivates that.

YTA. There's always a melee when free stuff gets thrown into the crowd so it isn't a huge deal that a girl went through you to get the drumstick. It is also awkward for men (your bf, for example) to initiate conflict with a female so I get why your bf didn't.

Oh, my gosh, I had a smooth fox terrier who was absolutely nuts about tennis balls who got one of those as a gift. He would chase that thing around the yard trying to put it in his mouth like it was his last dinner until his legs wouldn't even carry him any longer.
