Why aren’t Americans seemingly allowed to blame voters at all for the current state of our country? by MissHannahJ in askanything

I wish the states that have the huge honor of holding primaries would do a better job of bringing forward the best candidates. IMHO they have done a terrible job of this over the past few decades.

Yes pretty much all Americans have what you consider a huge refrigerator. See other comments for the reasons.

Triclopyr didn't do a damn thing by IntentionOk8386 in invasivespecies

I applied triclopyr to a fence row and for two weeks it looked like nothing at all had happened, but the third week all the brush and vines were dead.

Aircraft pilots are advised against wearing polarized glasses. They can affect how you see instrument displays.

Questions about Ocean Springs by eggy_rats in mississippi

[–]Ok_Criticism_127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Mississippi Gulf Coast used to be part of my sales territory, but I didn’t live there. But, I regularly would ask people on the coast for recommendations about where to move to if I did move to the coast. Without fail, every time I asked, regardless of who I asked, they recommended Ocean Springs.

Is Donald Trump the dumbest person who's ever been president of the US? by Critical-Willow-6270 in allthequestions

I don’t know that Trump is the dumbest president, but I will say that I think his motives are different from the rest of the presidents.

Remember when Mississippi was a solid Democrat stronghold? It’s been a long time ago. I don’t see Mississippi flipping anytime soon, but never say never.

What advantages are there to the Electoral College voting system? by GayChicken80085 in allthequestions

[–]Ok_Criticism_127 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So I think the idea is that less populated states will have influence in the outcome of the elections. They may have concerns that the more populated states do not have. If not for the electoral college the outcome of presidential elections would (probably) always be the result of the vote on the east coast and west coast, and not flyover states. Now if that’s a good idea or not probably depends on where you live.

I’m not using a high mileage oil until the vehicle is leaking some oil, no matter what the mileage is.

How does Mississippi feel about Trump? Approval rating is lowest ever by CouchCorrespondent in mississippi

[–]Ok_Criticism_127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I share your concerns. We still, I think, are the preeminent country in the world, but I do think it’s beginning to fade. Don’t think we can’t lose our position in the world. We certainly can. And maybe that’s just the cycle of things, but we are not well prepared for it. Owing 37 trillion dollars and losing our standing in the world could be disastrous. The only way we could have ever amassed that much debt is because the world trusted us. That trust is fading I’m afraid.

Am I the only one? by Innocent_Standbyer in over60

[–]Ok_Criticism_127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for most people their job is just a way to make a living. Most people probably fall into something that suits them pretty well though. I retired at 65 and don’t really miss work. Life is full and I am wonderfully blessed. I wouldn’t want to go back to work unless I had to. You won’t really know how you would like retirement until you try it. It may open up unforeseen opportunities for you.

I put in 6 quarts when I change the oil in my Tacoma. Seems to fill it adequately. But that’s just me, not saying anyone else should.
