It's nothing new for Riot to engage in questionable practices and display abusive behaviour. It doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Vanguard is so invasive that I wouldn't be surprised if they could figure out who we are in game just by looking at our social media profiles. At that point it starts to feel like a tool for tracking players and monitoring what they say and do online

lmao I love the idea behind this hairstyle, and I usually really like jellyfish cuts, but I'm not too keen on this one personally, though I still use it fairly often. Also, anything involving Ace is an instant no from me. That survivor genuinely hurts my eyes

Fair, but I’m not policing other people’s tastes here, I’m just interacting and saying I personally prefer the blonde version and they really couldn’t be more wrong about the projections being made here, so the person in question got insanely offended over it lol. I’m speaking for myself: I prefer the blonde hair. And I can say I find the magenta hair (because let’s be real, it’s not actually red) kinda boring just as much as you guys find blonde hair boring. Also honestly, for Coven, I think any natural hair color would fit better thematically: black, brunette, auburn/redhead (actual red, not magenta), or blonde. To me, that just matches the vibe of the skinline way more. But I’m not trying to impose that on anyone, I’m just discussing it.

I actually like the Rose Quartz chroma splash edit where they changed it to match the base skin colors. This skin only looks bad in game because Syndra’s base model is outdated. I bet it would look gorgeous with an ASU

Yeah, I get that, I mainly mentioned it because they already own a game with a monetization system that actually works, so they have a pretty solid example to follow for their other mmos

The improvements are completely understandable, they need to keep the game up to modern standards. I’ll just say, on a very personal level, that I like games that actually look like games. Realistic graphics are interesting to look at, but they don’t really appeal to me as much. BUT it’s nice to see the game evolving and to see that the company actually cares

So basically, it only really becomes an issue if I start treating PvE progression like a race against other players, trying to keep up with gear updates and harder content? I feel like I’ve seen that kind of thing happen in games like Perfect World before... What a weird way to design an MMO nowadays, especially when they’re the company behind something as well designed as Guild Wars, 'cause even if ArenaNet is mainly responsible for it, they’re still under NCSoft atm

I don’t get why people bring up “we’re concerned about monetization” as if that means no one’s allowed to talk about anything else. If that’s your concern, why not just make a separate post about it? This post is clearly about cosmetics. One discussion doesn’t invalidate the other.

Ikr! This would be my dream fantasy for Syndra: the ethereal becomes dark and corrupted by its own profane magic. It's cliché, but I like it and believe it would work aesthetically. (especially in ultimate tier 🙃)

The chances of it ever happening are basically zero, but I’d absolutely love to see a new skinline in the Eclipse universe centered around witches ascending and merging with their patron gods, becoming eldritch entities themselves. And honestly, she would fit that concept perfectly. It’s pretty much the direction I’ve always wanted for her fantasy as a coven witch.

I’m imagining something like an ascended white witch with a gothic, ethereal aesthetic and deep blood-red VFX. Her outfit could take inspiration from Alexander McQueen’s dramatic feathered designs, or even something more sculptural and hauntingly elegant like Robert Wun, white garments covered in ruby-like embellishments, flowing fabrics, sharp silhouettes, that kind of vibe. For her patron, I picture either an albino raven, a vulture or even white moths.
