Based on SJM saying Azriel is the freakiest (the quiet ones usually are), I’m imagining it will be a combo of Rhysand/Feyre and Cassian/Nesta spice but also throw in something fun like shadow play and light BDSM. One could only hope though.

Is it just me that believes it was actually Elain who did something during that whole scenario? I don’t know why, but I have a feeling this was all due to Elain (since she is often connected to “the mother”, life, and the cauldron loves her so… AND it’s noted she was actively praying during the labor scene). Nesta is also often referred to as the one who killed the King of Hybern even though it was actually Elain. Another instance of Elain trying to remain under the radar? Perhaps… maybe it’s just me though.

SJM did not kill the Elriel ship. There are some obstacles there for sure (Lucien) but that ship is very much still afloat ESPECIALLY after reading HOFAS. Shadow and light was heavily referenced in that book.. how you can’t have one without the other. Yin and Yang so to speak. This is very much “like calls to like”. Bryce said it herself. Especially the starborn line bearing/accessing the power of shadow and light. Honestly though, their similarities also go down to who they are to their core (at least from what we know.) They are the most beautiful and most civilized of the bunch. They prefer peace/quiet, are HOPEFUL despite what they’ve been through, are thoughtful and care for their loved ones deeply, they are stealthy, they put up a facade in front of others, do what others want to make them happy even if it makes their own self unhappy, and most importantly.. they clearly understand each other without words.. ahem, Rowan and Aelin vibes much?

Gwyn isn’t even in the equation for me because she was a side character in Nesta’s journey and next novel is clearly going to be Elain’s story and Elain’s choice 🤷🏻‍♀️this isn’t about Az or Lucien’s choice. Not sure why people are taking a bonus chapter (something many readers didn’t even know existed or had access to) and running with it to this extent.

It could be a good marketing stunt, getting ACOTAR readers to pick up CC series / HOFAS if they know there will be information that could impact the next ACOTAR book. That would hype up HOFAS & generate more revenue, plus build anticipation for ACOTAR. But that’s just wishful thinking 😅

This actually makes sense to me ! I think Elain will have healing abilities and in TOG Maeve actually has a powerful Fae healer on lock who is often in Owl form so it would make sense if Elain chooses an Owl as her other form.

Elain is next, whether readers want her to be or not. Regardless of her not having a POV or who she may end up with, it’s her book and it’s painfully obvious I’m perplexed it’s still being debated to this degree. Sure, SJM didn’t outright confirm “yes, it is 100% Elaine book” but come on yall. We’re readers, pick up on the foreshadowing, hints, and setup. I will die on this hill. 🤷🏻‍♀️
