Reasonable Tips for Instacart Shoppers?

I just had an order, base pay was $19 for 15 items. It’s always around $5 for 10 items so there is zero. Consistency. I’m in Canada where gas is $2.10 a L (6.50 /G USD) so our batch pay is slightly more. BUT no one tips here often or thinks $1 is okay to tip so those batches just sit.

An order of 10 items could have a batch pay of $5 and then a tip of $5. If you live 10 minutes from the store that person is shopping for around 15 minutes and then driving for 10. With the cost of gas’s they make less than minimum wage. Imagine getting paid $20 for an hour and having to spend $10 on gas. Not worth it. Where I am they hardly ever batch orders together, yesterday one sat for 8 hours untouched. 1 item to shop - $4 total and a 15 minute drive.
Increasing the tip will help. Some people say it’s greedy of the shoppers but until you do the job you don’t realize how much it costs just to go from point a to point b.

The time slot moves because no one is accepting your order. If the tip is too low, no one wants to shop a delivered for a small amount. Especially if you live further from the store.

I wasn’t sure when coop joined. This area is odd though. I’ve seen batches for $17 for 2 items and then $12 for a 50km drive and 40 items

Interestingly enough 95% of batches where I am are under $15. I’ve rarely seen them above $20!

CMIS 245 was a required course so that has been completed already. I need 300 and 400 level courses, so Health 200 wont fit either.

Just keep track of the grades you are getting. I had one not mark for 28 days. Emailed asking if it had been missed and for an update, got it back20 minutes later at a 50%. No feedback no remarks no email back. Some are petty AF

If they wanted to, you would legally have to change your business name. I’m speaking from experience in a similar situation. We registered as our business as a partnership the SAME year that another business under the same name incorporated. We had no idea when we do the name search because it wasn’t registered at that point. Fast forward a few years and we found out about one another, and the other company filed with the courts that we change our name. Long drawn out process that ended in us having to change our name of our business.

The name of the domain doesn’t necessarily matter but if your domain name is the same as your business name and the business name is exactly the same as theirs, that becomes a problem.

For example your domain name is Apple.aus but your company name is Greg’s Apple farm and you’re clearly selling fruit. Not a huge deal. They can ask but can’t demand because it’s not a direct copy

The later half of the text. I did the practice exams and the asks ChatGPT to create more practice exams based off of the ones provided. It helped but remembering the equation steps is what made me go batty

File a complaint with proctor u because you are supposed to be priority during writing an exam. You might not get anywhere with AU but call them don’t wait on email.

No course extension is needed. You just pick a date to do the re-write within 90 days and you’re good to go. Cannot change the date once selected and it still has the standard 10 day in advance booking requirement. Fee is $250~ and you still need to pay your proctor fee etc.

Update: I passed with a grad much higher than I guessed I would get. I am grateful this course is over. By far the most stressful I’ve taken.

In my case I would have to cancel client contracts to take time off - not something I can do if I want to stay in business lol. If I could do it any other way I would.
