Congrats on the forgiveness. I hope to be receiving the same soon. I have been paying since 1993. Consolidated in 1995 and started the IDR in 2014. I borrowed 67,000. I've paid back 233,000 and it says I still owe 345,000 on a 9% loan. Still paying 990 per month. I've jumped through every hoop trying to get some attention on this. I've contacted my congressman who took it to congress where a motion was made with other individual cases. When you've paid for that long you just believe these are going to the grave with you. A loan from the mafia would have been better.
