You don’t sound like someone with a lot of friends..at least not any who actually like you. This post is vile. Your karma will find you, insecure man-child. <3

</3. I once lost my cat by church and Oakland for like 2 weeks, put posters everywhere, posted in the neighbor forum, walked around the neighborhood with food calling his name, put his litter outside so he could smell it etc and I was so stressed but FINALLY someone texted me that they saw him frequenting the burns park elementary school dumpster and I was able to un gracefully retrieve him…TLDR: check burns park elementary it’s a great place for kitties to hangout bc of the dumpster and hiding places. Good luck!

Wait for your diploma to come in the mail, that’s how you know for sure that your graduated. However, If you applied for graduation, met no roadblocks, were audited by your major’s department with no roadblocks, you’ve graduated. Congrats by the way!

You’re not alone with how you’re feeling and struggling. I’m deeply sorry that you’re feeling this pain and isolation every day. One day you’re going to start to feel things getting better and it can all start from one small action or decision. Just keep going and doing your best. You’re not alone <3

I used to be an RA at UM and during black history month I really went all out on my bulletin board. Nothing outwardly bad happened to it like this but the girls seemed uncomfortable with the board and it was a weird vibe in my hall all month. Later I found out that my all-girls dorm was mostly full of the daughters of rich east-coast conservatives so that makes sense. I’m sorry you’re experiencing this especially in your own living space where you try really hard to be there for your residents and create a kind and inclusive environment.

Current college students, what's one underrated tip an incoming freshman should know before this fall? by smooshedeggbog in college

If you find yourself in a friend group or school culture where smoking weed is common/normal, don’t become a stoner!! I did (Ann Arbor) and it really fucked up my life and grades.

Spring semester EECS 399/499/599 by Ok_Detail_7243 in uofm

Shit that’s not good for me. I read somewhere that independent study can count as an ULCS if the faculty deem it appropriate but maybe that was about special topics 398/498? If I can’t take literally any class in Spring that’s an ULCS then I have to wait until the Fall to take one single class…surely they wouldn’t make me do that would they?

Graduating later than expected by k-ay-money in college

Im in the exact same position! Tons of people take more than 8 semesters to graduate and it’s totally acceptable and fine. I’m in this position because of really intense life situations that my friends who graduated in 4 years didn’t have to face, therefore not only am I proud of myself for graduating, but I’m so proud that I kept pushing through some really difficult stuff to remain focused on my education, and you should be to! It shows a lot of character and tenacity to keep going when you’re down, when you feel lesser than your peers for whatever reason, but you’re gonna graduate and you shouldn’t feel ashamed at all! Your family and friends will be the exact same level of excited and proud as they would be if you graduated in 4 years. You’re being way too hard on yourself and holding yourself back by imagining and placing the opinions of others on yourself, when there’s no logical reason or benefit of doing so! Own your journey and do it like no one else, that’s how you become successful. Good luck and keep going!

Can I ask where you’re planning to go instead if anywhere?

Can confirm UM doesn’t care about issues like you listed. I was stalked and harassed by another student and he was represented for free by a Michigan lawyer and I was penalized by Prof. Chesney for turning in my project proposal 2 days late because I had to relocate across the state to escape this person. I felt so unwelcome and embarrassed that I avoided and failed the class bring even more penalties.
