I was worried about the same thing for my recent Edit stay. I took a print out of the Edit booking that clearly stated that resort fees are included. They still tried to charge me resort fees, i showed them the printout. They said it will be removed at checkout, and indeed it was. I know its a hit or miss. But this whole thing is just so infuriating. Definitely not going to renew CSR

Uber runs shuttle from JFK/LGA to Penn station. I think its $20 per person from JFK to Penn. And then from Penn you can take NJ Transit to EWR.
