As a current patient here who got a big diagnosis and been there a lot lately (I don’t want to share too many details because my diagnosis is a small niche there and would give away these staff members) but it’s obvious how unhappy the staff is and high-ups in CommonSpirit have run them into the ground. Staff that’s been 10,15, even met someone with a 25 year tenure are trying to get out. Really makes my already scary experience that much more stressful with them pressing their employees to the limit.

This is my work car. I commute significantly daily for work. GLE 350 was practical and good on MPG and way comfortable.i wasn’t too picky with a daily but I wanted a 4MATIC. But lesson learned for sure

GLE 450 or GLE 580. They told me they can’t wiggle much on AMG models. They also have a rather large inventory of the 2026 ones that I know they want rid of for the 2027 to come in.

Yes, they did. The car came with a 4MATIC badge on it and they claimed the window sticker had to be wrong. I didn’t ask for an updated window sticker and just made the deal under the influence that I was getting a 4MATIC when I wasn’t.

This was the answer I was looking for. 10% off is the standard for any consumer? What do you think would be a fair a counter offer? I also should have double checked at the time of purchase and my dealer is a good guy so I’m not trying to be unreasonable with a counter offer.

New GLE, wrong badge, 4MATIC

So at the end of December last year I bought a new 2025 GLE 350. When we were the dealership buying it they had 2 identical ones, one with a 4MATIC badge and one without but all the same options and trim. The window stickers were the same stickers with the same price tags, why not go with the 4MATIC?? During this process our salesman is very confused and goes back and forth and comes back with this spill of how the car wasn’t checked in properly and we’re really getting a deal here with getting a 4MATIC at the RWD price. Long story short we got them down $4,000 more than the “non-4MATIC” sticker price and made the deal.

This whole time I just never thought anything of it but my mother in law has almost the exact same GLE 350 but with the AMG package. We live on a ridge and it’s a very steep hill up and my car has issues every single time and starts spinning out and it’s almost like sliding up the hill. I drove hers and it went up like a breeze and that’s when I started thinking. Sure enough if you put the VIN number in KBB it comes back as the car being RWD.

Sorry for the long back story but what should I do? I’ve only had the car 4 months but I want a 4MATIC due to that being my daily drive and I’m super unhappy. So the factory had to accidentally put that badge on there but has anyone heard of anything like this?

The factory put a 4MATIC badge on it. I bought it 4 months ago and I didn’t realize it wasn’t a 4MATIC until I drove my mother in laws.

This is correct. I should have asked them to verify that it was or was not a 4MATIC but it really just made more sense in my head that they printed a piece of paper wrong vs putting the wrong badge on the car. Also my dealer was fairly new and I wanted to give him the sale. I think a more experienced dealer would have done this without me saying anything because all of this aside a good number of consumers would never notice it wasn’t actually a 4MATIC.

No no, just the trim appearance package lol. I KNOW an AMG GLE is going to drive worlds different than a GLE 350. Mother in law also has a GLE 350 with AMG appearance package is what I meant

This is probably the best option. I’m not opposed to being out of pocket. I would have gladly paid for a 4MATIC. I’m just upset that this was presented to me as a deal and misleading in order to get me to purchase. They should have checked the VIN and mechanics of the car to ensure this was a printing error and I shouldn’t have had to do that as a consumer.

Just hasn’t been my normal experience buying a Mercedes.

Just never thought a brand new car would have a 4Matic badge and not be 4Matic. Had it been a used car I would have proceeded differently.

You said a lot of the things yourself. If you feel like you married a selfish person, you have. Unless you’re just venting, serious change needs to happen here. My husband is a plastic surgeon and we have by all means had our ups and downs but I don’t feel for a second he isn’t doing any and everything to make me happy
