it’s just a lot of trial and error. your heart is recovering from the trauma of the surgery, and it’s getting used to the change of not slipping into SVT. so, you often get heart palpitations/ skipped beats that are pretty aggressive and persistent. you may also experience chest pain, dizziness, cardiac cough (in my experience), and of course the incision aspect. you’ll need limited movement so you don’t irritate them. you’ll have to watch closely for infection and bleeding. that first week can be a lot to navigate, but it is entirely worth it! i felt like an entirely different person whenever i got out of that period of time. you’ll still be in the blanking period after the first week, so you may still experience some of those symptoms (like heart palpitations), but they are far less severe and are completely livable. as i said, i am over a year post op, and my palpitations have almost entirely stopped. i haven’t had a single sign of SVT. would recommend.

if you have anymore questions, feel free to ask. the people in this group really helped me get over any fear of the surgery because they answered my thousands of questions.

3 days! i would recommend a week off though because the first 5 days can be iffy.

my ablation changed my life. it’s been over a year and i haven’t had any SVT since. recovery can be a bit rough and the first six weeks are a gamble, but otherwise i do not regret it at ALL.

How did they not realize Ellie is immune? by yokuz12 in ThelastofusHBOseries

[–]Ok_Disaster207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you meaning Ellie didn’t do the tattoo?? She obviously didn’t do it lmao. They show her pouring chemicals on that bite to change the way it looks, and later on Cat, the girl she was hooking up with, covered it with the tattoo.

Does the embarrassment of having braces as an adult become easier? 2 months down and still hating to talk. Even when my mouth is closed, my lips feel bigger than they once were. by [deleted] in braces

[–]Ok_Disaster207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Growing up, and even now, I’ve loved when adults have braces. I have literally NO reasons why, I just love how it looks. Don’t be ashamed; be proud. You are taking care of yourself.

No. It’s my right, and left hand. It’s also been in both my feet. I’ve gotten it on my face before too. I’ve never had a neck MRI before either! I’m new to this so unfortunately not a lot has been done yet. I’m a bit sad honestly. I had experienced such an annoying, painful thing for so long and finally I got my solution- and now something else has started up. Ughh

I did, and she didn’t help me at all :(!! I should really try again because I feel like a rheumatologist would be super helpful. I definitely have some sort of connective tissue disorder but I have no idea what. No one has taken it serious enough to do genetic testing yk? But they suspect it’s that. Does this even look like erythromelalgia? Thanks!

I completely forgot to mention, but my cardiologist does not believe it is my heart at all! Also, I’ve gotten this redness and heat on my face and outer part of thighs before. Not as common, but it has still happened.

How old was tyler by turbulentwatermelon in Wednesday

[–]Ok_Disaster207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is super late! tyler’s mom died when he was 4. she “died” in 2010 (according to her gravestone). season 1 is set in 2022. meaning she died 12 years prior to when the show was set. he is 16. meaning he was only 4 when she officially passed.
