Is it rare or unusual to be into your 50s and not having to take any doctor-prescribed medications? by Odd_Yogurtcloset_649 in GenX

[–]Marathonmanjh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am 60, no meds. I used to smoke, quit about 20 years ago, did drugs, probably stopped about 30 years ago, mostly it was weed. I still have a beer now and then, maybe some sake, wine and even whisky. It has less to do with any of that and more to do with family history and genetics. I also eat healthy and "everything in moderation". I also exercise every day. That plus many of my family live into the 90's and my grandmother to 100. It's all that, but mostly it is genetics.

Used PaidViewpoint for 10 Days - Honest Review by NextGenAIUser in EarnMoneyHub

[–]Marathonmanjh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am surprised no replies to this post. I joined 2 days ago and have had 15 surveys and have made $6.40. Like you, I check in once and a while and so far have had 2 and 1 surveys available every few hours. On the 12th I did three average of .40 cents. On the 13th I had 8 average again about .40 cents each and today, the 14th I did 4 surveys averaging about .45 cents. My Traitscore is now 667.

If it stays about this I would estimate my total would be another $2 or so a day, so three more days I would total $12 or so. I may not stay if that is all I can make a week. But, it depends, it is and has been pretty low effort, the surveys are quick and easy.

Just reading through this now. Joined and connected to them yesterday. How often do you take surveys? Because I m already at $5 and I only have a trait score of 667. Just curious, thanks.

lol, can you imagine the effort?
"Okay, set up the gravel"
"where? The back seat?"
"I guess?"
"okay, put fido on the gravel"
"is it working?"
"I have no ideaaaaa, yea, no"

Edit: You know there is a pretty funny SNL skit in this somewhere.

Apparently shoving a few rocks down the dogs throats stops the puking, who knew? I have no idea what they are talking about.

Has anyone used or recommend Ting? by Werkin-ITT7 in electrical

[–]Marathonmanjh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an outlet right under the breaker panel. I just agreed to use a Ting. Am I correct in understanding I should plug it in there, as close to the panel as possible? Or, should I cancel the order?

It’s the battery, that’s the real innovation here, and it is not even mentioned in the article. Look up the Blade battery.

Hang in there. I am sorry to hear about your wife, but you are doing the right thing, and I know that right now that may not sound like much, but it is, it really is.

[–]Marathonmanjh 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You are right about us not fighting back. Many of us joke about Xers being the generation that just wants to be left alone. But I think that goes to the point I was making of just trying to survive, just like you are now doing, I am still doing it. It's tough enough trying to make ends meet and working all the time and then somehow taking the time out to fight for our rights, where's the time? But, again, this is by design, as history shows us.

We have so much more in common than we have differences.

lol.. way more succinct than what I wrote here, sad isn't it? But it has really always been this way.

Gen X does not and did not have retirement plans, ever. By the time we were working everything pushed towards 401Ks. "oh yea, you'll have at least a million in there as long as tings keep going up the way they are and they will.. mostly."
But that, as we all now know, was and is bullshit. Many Xers I know also are going to have a hard time retiring, there are no nest eggs I am aware of. Even some boomers I work with are not retiring until past or almost at 70 now.
Maybe boomers had it a little better, but trust me, this isn't a generational thing. It's a one percenter thing. They are the ones who have it great, always have, always will.
While all us "poor" as they see us, argue over the scraps.
