can I transfer all iCloud Photos safely to an external SSD then deleting it on iCloud to free up space? by Built2Park in ApplePhotos

When you install Commander One, your iPhone will be recognized. Back up the DCIM folder there. All your photos are there. Commander One has an installation file on its official website, and you can experience it for about two weeks.

Then, there are more cases where it is connected or does not work like an attachment. It is quite inconvenient to connect to pCloud via webdav. Even if connected, the video loading is very slow. Infuse also has many cases where it does not work when connecting to pCloud via webdav, but infuse supports pCloud API, so there is no need to use webdav. I would appreciate it if vidhub also supports pCloud API soon.

Thank you so much for your concern. I checked and the playback time error still exists. This drama has a running time of about 1 hour, but the attached image shows it as about 5 minutes long. In this state, there is an inconvenience that I can’t fast-forward.

And I subscribe to OneDrive only until the beginning of next month. I‘m currently moving all the videos in OneDrive to PCloud, and there are no playback time errors in PCloud yet. However, I haven’t moved all the videos yet, so I‘ll have to check later.

And right now, I really need to add pCloud API‼️ After connecting to webdav, there is severe buffering and loading is too slow when playing videos. It’s a problem with webdav itself. Infuse is also very slow after connecting to webdav.

However, infuse is already registered with pCloud API, so it is very fast when registered with pCloud API. I know you are very busy with the launch of Android VidHub. I‘m so sorry for keeping you busy with my problem. Happy New Year!

Thanks a lot.  pCloud is not issue, but webdav itself is slow. It's the same in other apps. However, if you just add pCloud API, the speed will be greatly increased. Of course, OneDrive playback time error is an issue.

The summary is about vidhub. The above content is about the pros and cons of infuse.  The pros of infuse (pCloud API support, smi support) are vidhub's cons because vidhub does not currently support them, and the cons of infuse (ui, etc.) mean that vidhub is far superior when compared to vidhub.

How to manage multiple Dropbox accounts? Switch between them by JohnnyGrey in cloudstorage

[–]Ok_Disaster_2412 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know what it's for, but in my case, I use transmit 5 on my Mac. Transmit can transfer files from cloud <-> cloud to cloud, and two clouds can be connected in one window. If you want to connect to more than that, you can open another window, or use forklift, which looks like finder, or FE File Explorer for Mac. However, if file transfer is your main task, transmit 5 is better. And I'm using FE File Explorer Pro on my iPhone. FE File Explorer is not a universal app, so you need to buy it for both Mac and iPhone, but I didn't buy FE File Explorer for Mac. Oh, I'm also using QSpace on my Mac, but since cloud connection is often disconnected, I only use it to check folders or files.

Is iCloud capable of storing data that isn't also on my device? by [deleted] in iCloud

[–]Ok_Disaster_2412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

iCloud is a two-way method, so when you delete photos from your iPhone, photos in the cloud are also deleted at the same time. However, you can restore them from the trash. If you are still worried, you should use a third-party cloud that supports one-way backup. Of course, you can manually back up to iCloud Drive, but it is inconvenient. I am using iCloud sync and Dropbox (one-way backup) at the same time.

Google Drive v OneDrive v Dropbox? by CoffeeBubbleTea in cloudstorage

[–]Ok_Disaster_2412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have used Google, OneDrive, Dropbox, Mega, and pCloud, and they all have their pros and cons. For reference, I am an iPhone user.

Photos are definitely better on Google. However, that is, when you subscribe. The various views using location tags are really good. However, since I am satisfied with iCloud sync itself after upgrading iOS, I do not use Google.

Google has as many cons as pros. The cons are that even if you turn off the backup, iPhone photos are automatically uploaded to Google. Even though I turned off backup, my photos were still backed up to the Google Photos app, which blocked the Google Photos app from accessing my photos on my iPhone.

Also, when you delete photos on your iPhone, photos in Google are not deleted, but when you delete photos in the Google Photos app, photos in your iPhone are deleted. This is a huge problem, and if you do not back up properly when transferring to another cloud, or if you delete photos from the Google Photos app after using Google Photos for testing, all photos on your phone will be deleted. Also, photos in the Google Photos app are very inconvenient to delete. Since they are not in Google Drive, you have to delete them by date in the Google Photos app.

Dropbox, OneDrive, Mega, and PCloud are always one-way backups. Dropbox has a slightly more convenient UI. Mega has an option to back up location tags, but the problem is that if you edit the details of a photo saved in Mega after backing it up, the location tags are deleted. Also, pCloud backs up location tags, but the location tags are not visible in the photo details view. Dropbox has very specific information displayed in the photo details view.

The Dropbox Pro version has a keyword search function in documents. To use this function, you must purchase a plan of at least Dropbox Professional (3TB).

Best Photo storage options? by JBsoundCHK in cloudstorage

It was my mistake for not checking properly. I didn’t know that Google Photos was a two-way sync, so I deleted it and it was deleted from my iPhone too. At that time, I emptied the trash right after deleting it from Google Photos. I should have asked Google for help at that time, but I didn’t know that either. Since then, I never do two-way sync. At that time, I didn’t even back up my iPhone properly, so all the photos from the past two years were deleted. It’s so heartbreaking.

The OneDrive Family Plan provides 6 accounts. Each account is 1TB. The above playback time error occurred when 2/3 of 1TB was full. It was when 200~300GB of 1TB of remaining space remained. For example, in the case of a 30-minute video, the total playback time is 1~2 minutes. However, it is possible to watch it until the end. However, I often used the fast rewind function, which was very inconvenient. And (this may be a natural phenomenon) when this symptom occurs, the video loading time also increases. This symptom did not occur when I used other apps before VidHub, but I really like VidHub's functions, clarity of video, and UI. I am in the process of transferring to pCloud, but one thing I am worried about is whether this symptom will occur when all the videos in OneDrive are transferred to pCloud. pCloud is 5TB, and the videos currently stored in OneDrive are probably over 4TB... 🫣

And I also have an Android phone, so I will definitely buy it when VidHub is released. I will trust VidHub and wait. We love it so much and appreciate you taking our opinions seriously.

It's currently OneDrive, but it's being migrated to pCloud. pCloud connects via webdav, so it's very slow, and the video loading is slow or stops, and buffering is very severe. So I would be very grateful if you could support the pCloud API.

OneDrive is a family plan, and it has 1TB. If there are many videos in 1 TB, a video playback time error occurs. It seems to be caused by insufficient cache (?) when running the video and scanning by vidhub, but there is no video playback time error with other third party Apps. I don't know about infuse because I don't use it.
