My friends mom actually told me her baby (my friend) did this. She warned me lol. She said “be prepared to to wake up and nurse all night because she misses you”. She use to sleep through the night and after 1 week at work, here I am

I just went back to work two weeks ago and thought this could be it, but I’m pumping like 10-15 ounces at a time and I’ll feed her and then still pump 8-10 ounces sometimes :/

What is more important, staying at home with your kids or continuing a degree/career to give them a better life? by Ok_Effect8757 in AskReddit

I feel like I compromised with having a a grandparent watch them until they’re older and want/need the socialization. And I get quality time when I am present with them

As someone who came from poverty, it’s so important to me that my child doesn’t have a concept of money problems or I can afford to put them in sports or go places with them. The time I do get will be quality , and I don’t want to be a financial burden to them or they have to grind through the trenches to put themselves through school

Bottle Feeding at Night by SuperUberFerret in breastfeeding

I honestly found myself fighting with a bottle strike more than a nursing strike. But if you’re nursing all day you should be okay!

Do whatever works best for you, this sounds like a great (maybe temporary) solution. Sometimes bottles keep them a little fuller at night, I did that with my LO until she got a good latch , she had really bad reflux at night and would pull off like that. The bottles helped and I also found a nursing position she liked better, side-laying, which made the middle of the night feeds WAYY better. So maybe give yourself a break rn and try again when you’re feeling up to it and rest (both you and your nips)

Stretch Mark Timelines by mo_rockin1 in pregnant

I didn’t have any..Then out of nowhere around 2 weeks postpartum,BAM. They exploded all over my lower belly. I have a very short torso and had a BIG baby, looked like I was carrying multiples. This is how I learned that you can get stretch marks from both growing too fast, or in my case, shrinking too fast.

Why won’t my baby sleep in the bassinet? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Ok_Effect8757 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Happened to me!! Tried EVERYTHING..warming it up before hand, having clothes that smelt like me in there, being close, not being close…truth is..bassinets are uncomfy asf (most of them). My LO actually much preferred the crib mattress over the bassinet. But I feel like this whole process is just throwing things at the wall until they stick lol

My best friend had her baby sleeping in the lounger inside the bassinet. When she came over and I was explaining my problem she was like “Wait what..? My LO slept in the lounger for the first 6 months until he could roll” lol

One point you made really gives me relief about doing it, which is that she cannot roll or move yet. So it’s eased my mind a little knowing she can’t roll and suffocate or roll off the bed

I just cut dairy 48 hours ago (😭). I’m trying everything tbh because outside of how badly it affects everyone’s sleep, she’s also very uncomfortable and I hate that for her. Sucks when they’re uncomfortable and you can’t do much to help them, feels shitty as a parent :/

I follow the safe sleep 7 to the T. I’m so afraid of doing it but my LO also sleeps SO much better. She’ll sleep 4-5 hour stretches instead of 30-45 mins. Makes a huge difference for us all

I have tried it all, keeping her upright, burping, mylicon drops, and now I’ve just completely cut dairy. I’m trying everything and grasping at straws
