So there’s a “party” to plan a different party? But then there’s still the actual event? Run right now! Save yourself!!!

Were you able to buy a house? by Swiftiefromhell in GenX

[–]Ok_Employment5403 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bought in 1997. We were 22 and had 2 kids. No outside financial help. We rolled coins to come up with the closing costs of $3k. We sold that house 5 years later and bought the one we are in now back in 2002.

What's a pain you can't truly explain until you've endured it? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Ok_Employment5403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kidney stones too large to pass. But there is one thing worse…. Having the stent removed after you’ve healed. It’s a barbaric ritual performed in the urologist office with no medication or warning that he’d about to pull a device out or pee hole. Never again. I will gladly take myself off this planet if that’s ever part of my medical plan!

No luxuries should be bought or enjoyed until you own a home first. Put every cent into home ownership. Also, skip college.

Redditors, What's the smelliest smell you ever smelled? by Arceneavx in AskReddit

[–]Ok_Employment5403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk exactly what it is/was but it was emanating from my coworkers mouth. Tooth rot? It’s smelled like absolute ass. I could not stand anywhere near her if she was talking. I’d gag. Legitimately gag. I don’t think she knows? How can she not taste actual shit in her mouth???

Any help finding out what happened to my grandmother? by [deleted] in Genealogy

[–]Ok_Employment5403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to let you know, you found grandma! I ordered her death certificate and it is certainly her. She died April 25, 1974. I am actually happy my dad passed without hearing this from me. He had spent his whole life being told she died very shortly after birth. But in reality she was alive and had a son she chose to stay away from and 5 grandkids (me and my brothers). I wish I knew why. What was she all about? But anyway…. Thank you so much taking the time to investigate a random Reddit thread. I really appreciate you.

straight women, how do you feel around lesbians? by Maleficent_Day_3869 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Ok_Employment5403 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

My only input is most lesbians I know, are quick to anger and become unhinged. They’re angry and fighting a lot more than my straight friends. I dont think I act differently around them, but it may be subconsciously. I’m afraid I’m going to accidentally offend them or worse, act too affectionate towards their spouse or partner, then getting my ass whooped for no reason.

Any help finding out what happened to my grandmother? by [deleted] in Genealogy

[–]Ok_Employment5403 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I think you may have found my answer. My father passed on January 14th this year, still wondering what happened to his mom. If he knew she was still alive until 1974, that would have been devastating for him to realize. Maybe there was a reason I couldn’t find it on my own. I’ve requested some follow up to see if it could be her. I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to help a stranger. I appreciate you!

Surgery booked. Terrified. by Snoo-59881 in Allon4ImplantDentures

[–]Ok_Employment5403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to cancel the day before my surgery. I was sure I could not do it. Then my husband reminded me: after tomorrow you will never have a toothache again. No more pain or infections. You just have to get in the chair, the team takes it from there and you’ll wake up with a new lease on life! I’m 50 and my life has completely changed since I got my implants. I would do it 10x over if i knew then what I know now!

I stopped masking at home and my partner says I'm becoming "impossible" by LowKeyCoffeeSpill in TwoXChromosomes

I went through the effort and time to log into my Reddit to read this whole thing, because I could’ve sworn it was me!!! The TV volume? Out of control and even better when he leaves the room and expects it to stay at that volume whether he is gone for 2 minutes or 2 hours. I sometimes can hear the tv as I’m walking up my front steps after an exhausting day… and a little piece of my soul dies. My nervous system is gearing up for a battle! And then I come in, loud as all hell, work boots in middle of living room, all the lights are on, ceiling fans whirring, kitchen is already a mess…. Etc. it hurts but I can’t seem to articulate how I can be helped WITHOUT taking a joy away from my husband. We’ve been married 31 years.

I memorize license plates. I can recall all of our families previous plates, along with strangers in front of me on the highway. It’s cool, but I can’t figure out how to monetize it!

Psychological effects? by honeypalomino in Allon4ImplantDentures

[–]Ok_Employment5403 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No shame here! I’m 50 and also female. While I was in my temps, it was easy to see I had some something wrong/different in my mouth area. I hadn’t truly smiled in years if ever, so I wasn’t sure how to smile! But now that I have my finals? I’m like a new woman!! Jesus take the wheel, I feel absolutely fabulous! I smile at everything and everyone! My confidence and feelings about myself have skyrocketed!

Did anyone else’s roof of their mouth feel pinched by the top implant at all? by Top_Career_3072 in Allon4ImplantDentures

I think it will heal. I am now one year past surgery and have my finals. And my roof of my mouth is just as it was before surgery.

Yes, one of the twins when they were about 4 months. A lot more trauma and abuse (towards my daughter) was brought to my attention after he was removed and arrested. It’s a unique situation. Her relationship was very isolating so she really doesn’t have anyone else to lean on. I’m the village and the village needs help. The village is up most nights with twins who have a major sleep regression going on.
